The latest edition of our free download series welcomes Wurtz and Iberian Muse for their first appearance. Having worked together previously for releases on Be Free Recordings, DnC Limited and Three Hands Records, the trio’s studio synergy has been on the rise across 2019. Having provided fans with many memorable dance floor moments, unquestionably their most sought after track this past year has been an Edit of Florence & The Machine’s hugely popular ‘Jenny Of Oldstones’. The Original version was first aired as part of Season 8 of ‘Game of Thrones’, which Wurtz and Iberian Muse took to reworking shortly thereafter. It has been a highlight in the sets of Tale Of Us for the last eight straight months and now after much demand the track is finally available as an exclusive free download. Enjoy!

Cid Inc’s Replug Records caps off a successful year by welcoming Dmitry Molosh back to the label for a new artist showcase. The Belarus native and progressive music favourite rounded out 2018 with his chart topping ‘Detektor’ EP for the Finnish imprint. 2019 has seen further successes, with EP’s for Guy J’s Armadillo Records and Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music sitting as the highlights. Now fresh off a contribution to Nick Warren’s Balance compilation, Dmitry lands back on Replug with ‘Cascade’.

Firmly sitting amongst progressive music's elite, Dmitry continues to deliver some of the genre's most beloved tracks with 'Cascade' being the latest in a long line of gems. Fuelled by rhythm and groove; it's chunky foundation, driving percussion and buoyant rhythmic core form the backbone of this exhilarating journey. Panning effects and emerging atmopheres smoothly segue into the main break, shifting the narrative further into melodic territory. Sitting comfortably in an ethereal yet emotive space, the lead motif rises, resonating on a warm and inviting frequency, gently evolving across a foggy atmospheric backdrop, before a gentle rush sparks a thrilling final act.

The companion piece ‘Step By Step’ follows suit with an equally impressive display of rhythm and groove. Spacious and energetic, it’s a creation built around rolling bass tones and vibrant chord stabs. Ethereal phrases and buzzing effects converge as the first act unfolds, while colourful vocal fragments shift energy into the break. Timely modulation adds drama and tension across the one minute interlude, ultimately reaching a swirling crescendo and perfectly setting up a powerful third act.

Dmitry’s long standing relationship with Replug has spawned several of progressive music’s finest moments over the last half decade. ‘Cascade’ once again follows suit and looks set to be one of the winter seasons most in demand releases.

Deep house leaders Do Not Sit on the Furniture Recordings have unearthed more heart warming gold here with a two track offering from Esteble and Hosini. 

Rotterdam pair Joep Esseling and Bram Harmsen make cinematic tracks on renowned international imprints like Diynamic Music, Anjunadeep, Stil Vor Talent and Connaisseur Recordings. Meanwhile Hosini has a sultry brand of melodic house on the likes of Anjunadeep and When We Dip XYZ, so they make perfect studio bedfellows. 

Hypna is beautifully melancholic, with piano chords gently draped over the succulent and soft drums. They are steeped in sadness but also hope, and bring real emotion to the danc e floor as they unfold over the ever more dreamy beats. Tiveden is more bright, with cosmic keys and chords thinking away up top over bottomless grooves that roll and roll. 

This is exquisite and tender dance music for those with big hearts.

Premiere: Lost Desert & Simon Vuarambon - Earth Before Humans [All Day I Dream]

Another release, another incredible addition to the Do Not Sit On The Furniture family. Behrouz welcomes Eli Nissan to the fold with two breath-taking sonic adventures. 

A longstanding member of Guy J's Lost & Found collective, Eli takes off where his debut album 'The Last Poem' left us last summer. Deep, stripped-back, contemplative house music steeped in emotion that hits you when you least expect it.

The slinky 'Ararat' sets the scene. Stirred, not shaken; there's a lithe roll in the drums and treacle-like subs as weaves of percussion dance between the weeping chords. 

It's followed by 'Netanya South'. A shimmering haze of glockenspiels and marimbas, once again the Tel Aviv artists creates a sense of motion and energy. Unhurried, measured and glistening with a subdued, introspective soul. Finally 'Narkotik' sends us packing on the most hypnotic tip of the EP. Steadily growing in weight and emotional energy as the track develops into yet another sublime moment that hits you when you least expect it.

Cid Inc's Replug Records ushers in the summer season by welcoming Kamilo Sanclemente and David Barragan to the label for their debut EP. The former, long regarded as one of Colombia's premiere progressive house talents has found a home on Balance Music, Beat Boutique and Guy Mantzur's Plattenbank Records, while earning continued support from Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Guy J. The latter, also hailing from Colombia and perhaps better known to progressive music fans as Dabeat, has adopted his given name for this distinguished project. Much like Kamilo, David has showcased his music on a wide assortment of the underground's premiere imprints, most notably Beatfreak Recordings, Hope Recordings and Proton Music. As frequent studio partners in the past, Kamilo and David now debut on Replug with 'Time Writer'. 

Drawing on a variety of fresh designs and sleek rhythmic concepts the EP begins with its title and showcase piece 'Time Writer'. On a backbone of warm beats comes smooth contoured bass and a lively percussive cadence. Subtle yet stirring, an atmospheric glow encases the framework, as gentle arps and effervescent effects converge in a perfect sonic marriage. The narrative shifts as the breakdown commences with a buzzing lead line set atop a redolent backdrop. Trance inducing and hugely poignant, its euphoric nature sets the course towards a musically enlightened finale. 

The companion piece 'Relive' continues the trance inspired themes of its predecessor.  From its full, wonky groove comes spacey effects and hypnotic arps. Ghostly vocals and placid atmospheres build an emotive resonance across the first movement, perfectly segueing into an expansive centrepiece. A realm within the story, the break melts down to a stunning display of reflective melodies, free flowing in nature and elevating the mood before playing out over a colourful final act.

Having recorded more than thirty productions since the inception of their partnership, the creative synergy between Kamilo and David continues to grow. Their Replug debut sees a further evolution in their collaborative journey, with two creations that once again find them at the forefront of the progressive movement.
