Dutch powerhouse Helsloot returns to Get Physical a year after his last outing with bold new single ‘Take Care.’

Thomas Helsoot is a revered underground presence with a famously melodic electronic sound that has taken him to labels like Poesie Musik, Domino, Astralwerks and Lane 8’s This Never Happened. He spent the first decade of his career working behind the scenes for artists like Diplo but has now fully established his own style. Hits of his like ‘Because You Move Me’ have clocked up over 300 million plays on Spotify alone and he shows his fine mix of introspective and futuristic moods again here.

‘Take Care’ is a sublime deep house cut with cavernous bass that sweeps you up from below. The spacious arrangement is brought to life with elegant melodic sequences that ripple out into the cosmic skies and build tension before the drums roll once more. An extended mix makes for an even more escapist listen.

This is another artfully crafted piece of melodic electronic music from Helsloot.

PREMIERE: Helsloot - Take Care (Extended Mix) [Get Physical]

After his recent remix of Deviu’s ‘Snow’ Ft. Mira Nait, French producer Aalson returns to Purified Records with his three-track ‘Daylight’ EP. The title track encapsulates the magic of daylight in sonic form, blending gentle instrumentation and glowing synths across flowing basslines. Moving into ‘Echoes Of Dawn’, nature samples are paired with breakbeat patterns to achieve a poignant and touching atmosphere. Closing with ‘Dreamland’, Aalson builds a cinematic arrangement that fuses classical and contemporary elements to dramatic effect. 

The ‘Daylight’ EP artwork showcases a magnificent shot of a humpback whale gliding through the ocean. Humpback whales are known for their long migrations, traveling up to 16,000 miles annually between feeding and breeding grounds. These whales are also famous for their complex songs, which can last for hours and are thought to play a role in communication and mating.
