Destinys Child - Say My Name (Doyle Remix)

French producer Teho makes a swift return to Herzblut to follow up his excellent Hope EP from May this year. His latest work sees him team up with fellow Frenchman and huge talent Tran, who's own music has been described as oscillating between minimal and melodic. Making this partnership a perfect fit. 

Their KOTO EP sees Teho & Tran submerging us in trademark emotional and powerful soundtracks, enhanced further by their use of the wonderful sounds of the Orient. Lead cut Asakusa elegantly displays its power through its pulsing one note bass and opening broken beat pattern. Its liquid flow sees it gather intensity before the Eastern strings echo in its breakdown. On the flip we are treated to more of the same, this time lead by Kabuki's beautiful flutes, warped bassline and plucked string melody. Perfection.

I wrote the instrumental for this track intended as an original. As I was finishing up, I heard the vocals from "Walking Alone" in my head fit the missing piece of the track. So I added the vocals and they fit perfectly!

This was going to be an exclusive track for my live sets, but after Above & Beyond got a listen from my guestmix, they asked for a download. I gave them the download, and they proceeded to play it on the radio show. The reaction from everyone was fantastic, so I approached Dirty South's camp to get clearance on the vocal. Today, the vocal was cleared, so thought I'd give it away for free to thank everyone for the continued support.

'The closer they come the harder they hit. Step by step, beat by beat ZEHN's Elements continue their voyage towards the blue planet. 

Will we get lost on board of the deep-space rocket that is Abstraal's and Olffmann's 'Falling With Her'? We might. We might lose ourselves in Eleonora's soothing yet fatalistic vocals on There Was No Time's 'Not Coming Back'. But maybe we can withstand for a while. Maybe. Sonia Choo - 'Keep Moving On' leads us further and further down the path - to oblivion. Particles are shaken by the enormous 'Solar' eruption caused by Alex Breitling. Suddenly, it gets quiet for a while. Nothing matters anymore, apart from this particular moment as Rafa Silva's 'Quid Pro Quo' hails in the dark. We enter Jakob Reiters 'Strato'. It is hypnotic up here. But we are woken up yet again, only to be catapulted even further by Melum's 'Space For Me'. New dimensions open up.  Will we get lost? Probably, we will. In the best way possible, though.'

Alles festhalten. Die Stellwerk Lok verlässt mit Lichtgeschwindigkeit das Tal der Dämmerung und steuert geradewegs ins nächste Abenteuer.
Endstation: Lummerland
 
Gefahren werden wir dieses Mal von unserem Urgestein. Wer sich schon mal in unser altes Stellwerk verirrt hat, wird seinen unverwechselbaren Sound schon in den ersten Klängen erkennen. Und wer hätte es gedacht, ohne Vorwarnung katapultiert er uns direkt in sein ganz eigenes Universum. Wer bisher noch die Füße stillgehalten hat, kann es spätestens jetzt nicht mehr tun. Felix Eul schlich sich schon in seiner Heimat Nürnberg unter die Gäste und beobachtete leise die Meute. Nach fast zehn Jahren Erfahrung an den Steuerrädern, weiß er wo´s lang geht.

Nach der rasanten Anfahrt bewegen wir uns geschmeidig, aber stets energiegeladen bergauf durch die Dunkelheit. Die Nacht ist inzwischen eingekehrt. Alles tanzt und bewegt sich und die ersten Passagiere gleiten davon. Wie aus dem nichts ertönen aus der Ferne verführerische Klänge.  Die Lok kommt zum Stehen und unsere nackten Füße treten hinaus in den warmen Sand. Wie in Trance folgen wir den süßen Klängen. Umgeben von Dünen und einem glasklaren Sternenhimmel trägt uns Felix mit seinem organischen Mix aus Techno und House durch die Wüste. Die Ekstase spitzt sich zu und wir scheinen eins zu sein mit der Musik, als plötzlich ein Feuerwerk am Himmel über uns explodiert. Vom wunderschönen Anblick geblendet schließen wir die Augen und finden uns beim Öffnen unter der Erde wieder. Tiefe Töne und dunkle Bässe durchdringen die unterirdische Welt und ziehen uns erneut in ihren Bann. Untermalt werden sie von einem melodischen und abgespaceten Sound, wie wir ihn von Felix kennen.  

Ein Zug fährt ein und öffnet seine Pforten. Noch vollkommen überwältigt begeben wir uns hinein. Auf dem letzten Stück der Fahrt führt Felix uns durch eine magische Galaxie. Sterne erleuchten in der Ferne und fabelhafte Wesen schwirren durch die Dunkelheit. Während die einen nicht genug kriegen, blicken die anderen erschöpft in die Ferne und begeben sich langsam ins Land der Träume. Begleitet von klassischen Klängen geht am Horizont die Sonne auf und küsst die vom Schnee bedeckte Landschaft. Eine zauberhafte Nacht neigt sich dem Ende zu. Oder waren es zwei?
