Music is colorful, diverse and vibrant as the butterflies. Almost 180,000 different species live in 127 families. The music by Boris Brejcha is like a "Feuerfalter" (copper). On one side the butterfly is relaxing and floating on the wind, but on the other hand he also sets with steam and fire to a fall into a low altitude. This is how it feels when Brejcha makes music.

The fourth album is exactly the description of this "Feuerfalter", a kind of backflash into the impressive career of Boris Brejcha. An album that deliberately shows how the artist works versatile. Times slightly floating, sometimes wild hitting the wing, always full of passion. The influences of his travelings and performances characterize his art again.

This creates a music that may be accompanied on Brejchas audience the whole day: at home, in a relaxed atmosphere or just at night, when the trip through the clubs starts. To showcase the ideas behind Simulate, I wanted to kick things off with an EP from myself to really cement what the sound, look and feel of the label will be. These tracks are about using digital and futuristic sounds to create aggressive yet energetic and emotional moments that can be enjoyed both on the dancefloor and at home. “Alone” is the first track of the EP, a captivating collaboration with the immensely talented Braev - this track is one that really showcases what Simulate is all about, to me this track shows human creativity fighting with digital innovation. “The Blaze” is next up, a much-requested track that I have been playing in my sets for some time now, and it never fails to get people moving. I love how raw this track is and it further emphasizes the digital feel of the label. “Paranoia” closes out The Theory EP, it's a simple yet effective track that plays off the idea of having lots of different sounds, both analog and digital, playing the same rhythm which creates interesting calls and responses throughout.”

Yepes returns to Abracadabra following his recent ‘My Way’ single with Sounds Of Rituals, this time collaborating with Presi On and Renate for the powerful vibes of ‘Mawu’.

Yepes picks up the story; “the story of this track began on a road trip to Cartagena. While we were listening to different songs, we hit a song from Adriatique that caught our attention at the same time as the sunset. The melodies and emotions they put into their track got us thinking and wanting to deliver a track with that emotion. That's how we came up with "Mawu," a very emotional and inspirational track. "Mawu" is a musical tribute to the powerful creator goddess of Dahomey mythology. This track is infused with heavenly harmonies and angelic chords, designed to capture the essence of Mawu's benevolent and nurturing nature. As we composed this track, we sought to convey the many facets of Mawu's character, from her role as a protector and nurturer of all life to her strength and determination in the face of adversity. The melody is designed to evoke feelings of hope and perseverance, capturing the essence of Mawu's journey and her unwavering determination to achieve her goals. Mawu is a goddess associated with the Sun and Moon, and we used this idea to create a track that is both light and dark, with a balance of different instruments, to create a harmony that reflects the balance of the universe. As you listen, let yourself be transported to the mystical world of Mawu, and be reminded of the power of the divine and the importance of living in harmony with the natural world.

No rookie to the Stil vor Talent family, which he's graced with a couple high-voltage contributions the past few years, Julian Wassermann turns up on Light My Fire with his latest two-tracker, 'Hallodri'. Not letting go of that typical electrifying style of his, the Munich-based producer serves up yet another pair of hair-raising floor-focussed stunts, ready to set sound systems ablaze. Geared up with his Moog Sub 37 and OB-6 for main companions, Wassermann has us vibing to a slightly darker and grittier material than his more recent iterations, perfect for that time when the mix needs to tighten its grip on the ravers and the machine funk goes bang. Exploring the confines between Italo-laced electronics and deeper techno folds, this new effort has club incendiary written all over it.
Giving its name to the release, 'Hallodri' is a synth-riddled epic of the finest order. Copiously glazed with FX, filtering and saturations, the track emerges from dubbed-out depths onto interstellar territories like a ghost ship. Bristling with awe-inspiring audio details as provided by the OB-6 and its near endless flow of quality patches, this steadfast burner cruises across the vastness at its own rate, continuously pushing us to dive further into its malleable matter to reveal unsuspected listening pleasures with every listen. In Wassermann's admission a more "emotional" number, 'Ego' follows a more straightforward prog techno route, though it clearly bears the producer's smooth hand when it comes to overall tension, abrupt freq shifts and intricate buildup architecture. Recorded on his Moog, the track works as a true-school deep-tech hypnotizer you'd gladly see running over dramatic video game footage or naturally imagine going off full blast at mega festivals. Teho and Makoto San have been in touch for a while but the story of "Hanten" started when they shared the stage together in Paris. During that night, Teho was immediately impressed by Makoto San's massive instrumentarium which is composed by many traditional Japaneese instruments, mainly percussions made with bamboos, but also by their skills while using them. At this right moment, they decided to work together on a collaboration track. Teho sent them a draft project, Makoto San have used their Bamboos, Anklungs and Gendèr to sublime the track and to build the main elements of the melodies. Atmospheric and grandiose, "Hanten" brims with tension, building to a powerful crescendo of shimmering synthesis and floor shaking drums.

 About :
Were back in the capital with the 8th installment of the Stil vor Talent Berlin compilation series, which brings forth a group of old and new faces, who exclusively contributed unreleased tracks, gathered under the umbrella of one of Berlins derelict treasures. Neukölln's Blub, short for "Berliner Luft- und Badeparadis", was a waterpark opened in 1985 in the Britz area. After its closure in 2002 the site fell into disrepair, waiting for housing redevelopment and revealing a fragile beauty in its decay as days go by. Like all of Berlin's remaining ruins, Blub serves as a reminder of long-gone times, while amplifying the current tensions between aggressive gentrification and useful repurposing. As always, music is the common denominator and Oliver Koletzki delivers the perfect soundtrack with this new release, while Chrisse Kunst renders the visuals.
