For our last release of 2022, we're happy to welcome back Kadum (@kadumlive), with his new album "Barbatuques Remixed". 

A collection of released and unreleased tracks by the body percussion group Barbatuques (@bbtqs), re-imagined and remixed by the multi-instrumentalist Kadum, making his second appearance in Tropical Twista's catalog. The release has a total of 8 tracks, being 2 bandcamp exclusives, and one featuring no one other than the Brazilian popular music legend Lenine. 

The team nearly dismisses presentations; Kadum, multi-instrumentalist from curitiba, resident artist of DM7 Group and a well known face in the biggest festivals of the country, has gained our hearts with his first release in the label back in 2021, the album “Dream Inside A Dream”, since then we already knew it was only a matter of time before he appeared here again. Barbatuques, body-percussion group formed since 1995, has over 13 members and is known not only for the original masterpieces, but also for the various remixes made of their tracks, some tunes already reaching millions of plays in streaming platforms. You know that one that says “baaaaianá baaaaianá”? The cherry on the cake is the participation of Lenine in one of the tracks, Brazilian musician from Pernambuco, more than consecrated worldwide.

Everyone gets confused sometimes. There can be various reasons for this. Sometimes it´s unlikely events, sometimes it´s a lack of concentration. But sometimes it´s also the dubious views of some people that confuse us and leave us with a question mark. 

It is precisely this feeling that Kolja picks up on in his new EP “Acid Schwurbler” and transports it into an audible experience. His sounds are often on the edge of comprehensibility, but at the same time they arouse interest because they are difficult to categorize. 

Or in other words: it´s already morning and you´re still on the dance floor wondering where the time has gone and what´s actually going on here. This is exactly when you might come across our dear friends Pulli & Chomba and Überhaupt & Außerdem - musically or truly. They are experts in such moments and know exactly how to make them happen. With their signature sound, which we love so much, they create unique interpretations that fit Kolja´s style perfectly.
