Look Busy is a collective of DJs with our roots firmly in collecting and mixing wonky records on belt drive turntables.  Between us we have over 60 years of experience looking busy behind the decks and counting.

You can find us playing across Scotland in various Clubs, Bars and Festivals as well as on podcasts or radio shows such as RhythmCast, Berlin Boombox, House Salad and Making Waves Underground.

Our Club Nights and Festival appearances have supported and booked DJs that include Dam Swindle, DJ Sneak, Dusky, Paul Woolford, George Fitzgerald, DJ Haus, Brawther, Robert Owens, Mella Dee, Slam, Horse Meat Disco, MK, Booka Shade, Chaos in the CBD, Darius Syrossian, Green Velvet, Purple Disco Machine, Basement Jaxx, John Digweed, James Zabeila, Palms Trax, Jamie Trench, Oli Furness and Ejeca. 

This project is our creative platform to celebrate and share our collective love for House Music, Funk, Soul, Disco and any oddity or curve ball we come across in-between.

Deeply inspired by hip-hop in all its forms—especially the Japanese underground— @kaisalart is passionate about US hip-hop and the late '90s/early 2000s French scene. He started out as a devoted listener, then moved into DJing, and now creates his own beats.

He founded Ofa Music Group, a collective/label that honors a specific era and musical aesthetic—where jazz and hip-hop blend seamlessly, and organic sounds meet lo-fi textures to create timeless atmospheres.

No matter how things evolve, the passion stays the same.

Garrett is a Washington-born and Brooklyn-based producer, DJ, and live performer who performs under both the moniker Pacifix (@pacifixsounds) since 2014, and Gbar (@gbargbar) since 2023.

While continuing to experiment with genres and keeping his Pacifix (@pacifixsounds) project going, upon moving to Brooklyn Garrett dove deep into the city’s underground scene and evolved his sound, leading him to decide to start a new project 'Gbar' (@gbargbar), which is more focused on darker, psychedelic, and raw underground music. 

He has sinced released 2 EPs, and an Album under Gbar on Brooklyn-based label Earth Dog Records (@earthdogbk | https://earthdog1.bandcamp.com/music)

Alongside DJing and producing, Pacifix has been developing hardware-based live sets that are raw and improvisational style. His performances blend deep and progressive tech house with psychedelic grooves, bass-driven broken beat, hypnotic techno, and organic textures—drifting between deep listening and dance floor euphoria.

Pacifix treats electronic music not just as sound, but as ritual—crafting sets that feel both intimate and expansive. Drawing from Brooklyn’s DIY energy and the natural mysticism of his Pacific Northwest roots, he fuses these influences into a sonic identity that is his own.

Founder of @houseofunitylabel & @k67radio, Paradiso Rhythm got into music production 6 years before he started playing records. His self-released debut album titled "Luv Grooves" and his anthems "Greetings & Salutations", "Paradise of Temptation" and "Forever Sade" were released on vinyl by labels WOLF Music, Pétrole and Dream Raw Recordings, RTCT, Nerang Recordings or Hustler Trax. 

Year after year he kept releasing music on established labels and on his own. Shemotions (2020) on Releisure NYC or newest HoU release Hypnotic Delight (2022) are proof that is not afraid of experimenting with new sounds. His DJ sets have been seen & heard in Paris, Berlin, Vienna, Munich, Zurich, Warsaw and several other cities across Europe. Back in 2020 he was part of dMIT.RY's Neo Violence Takeover on Hör. 

His music was supported & played by the names like Move D, Shur-I-Kan, Lefto Early Bird, DJ Boring, Moxie, Asquith and aired on several radio stations like NTS, Rinse FM, LOT Radio, Balamii, Kiosk, Lovele Amsterdam, Soulection

Since his last mix @qjmpls has been continuing to throw vinyl focused parties in Minneapolis with two crews which he co-runs, hifipopup (co-run with @mikepifer) and wax_appeal (co-run with conor_mcginnis - @spinzone_radio). hifipopup were able to lock-in a monthly residency at motoisake, where they transform Moto-i’s second floor sake speakeasy into an all vinyl HiFi bar with their vintage Klipsch sound system. Wax Appeal are continuing to throw record exchanges in Minneapolis and have also started throwing events in Chicago as Conor has recently moved there.

Algunos talentos musicales electrónicos conocidos han comenzado su carrera como percusionísta. Y así lo hizo Yaya, pero su historia es diferente a todos los demás. Yassin Ligali, también conocido como Yaya, se crió en Turín, Italia donde desde una temprana edad el ritmo era su elemento vital. Su padre era el vocalista y percusionista de M’Bamina, grupo formado por músicos procedentes de Benín, Zaire, Italia y Camerún el cual editó ocho álbumes y colaboró con artistas como Manu Dibango y Salif Keita, fueron patrocinados por Paco Rabanne, tocó por todo el país, incluyendo espectáculos para los presidentes de Senegal o Francia y su último concierto fue junto a James Brown en París en 1985, el año en el que Yaya nació. Bien introducido en el legado de su padre, Yaya creció tocando la batería y djembe, y a la edad de 15 años, comenzó a actuar como percusionista en clubes de Turín. Justo un año después, ya ejercía de Dj, pinchando funk, soul, afrobeat, house y garage. Manu Dibango y Fela Kuti tenían su lugar en su maleta junto a discos de Masters At Work y Dimitri From Paris, contrastes en el ritmo y estructura que impregnaron su música hasta hoy día. De pinchar en Turín en discotecas como Pier y Doctor Sax, comenzó a ser invitado en clubs de Milan como Amnesia, Light Lime y Pulp o en el famoso Tenax de Florencia. Muy pronto fue cabeza de cartel en clubs de toda Europa como Fellini y City Hall de Barcelona o Seven en Croacia. Notablemente actuó en Space Ibiza en la fiesta de los martes noche de Carl Cox junto a Angels Of Love. No hay duda que algo en el ambiente ibicenco hace que se adapte a Yaya a la perfección.
