Hast Du irgendwann schon einmal was vom Chadschi Dimitar gehört? Oder vom Busludscha-Denkmal, dem Haus der kommunistischen Partei Bulgariens? Nein? Mir ging das auf jeden Fall so, dass mir das Ding vollkommen unbekannt war. Jedenfalls bis zum Herbst 2014. Denn dann bin ich mit meinem alten Opel Astra an der Donau entlanggefahren bis ans Schwarze Meer und habe dabei mehr oder weniger zufällig das Busludscha-Denkmal entdeckt und ohne Scheiß, das ist einer der abgefahrensten Orte, an denen ich bisher war. 

In Plovdiv las ich etwas über die kommunistische Regierung und dass sie sich ein merkwürdiges Monument in die Hügel Bulgariens gebaut hatte. Also fuhr ich am nächsten Tag die gut 120 Kilometer in die Berge. Schon von weitem ist das UFO auf dem Gipfel des Chadschi Dimitar auszumachen. 
Oben dann die Enttäuschung, das vergitterte Tor lässt sich nicht öffnen. Nach einer Umrundung des Monuments entdecke ich in etwa zwei Meter Höhe ein schmales Loch in einer Ecke der Außenwand. Jemand hat ein paar Steine daruntergelegt. Mit ein wenig Anstrengung kann ich mich hochziehen und durch den Hohlraum zwängen. 
Nicht nachmachen! Viele Lost Places habe ich schon von innen gesehen, das hier ist einer der gefährlicheren. Keine Ahnung, ob die Stufen noch lange halten, die ich hier hinaufsteige, finster ist es und das Tropfen des Wassers von der Decke der Halle ist schon von hier unten zu vernehmen. 


Kommt mit Simon und Say B mit in das innere des Raumschiffs und erlebt hier eine transzendentale deep story, die euren Geist mit auf eine höhere Bewusstseinsebene nimmt. Auf geht es ins düstere Unbekannte, um erleuchtet zu werden!

The mastermind behind the label, Definition himself returns with a massive new solo release, Falling EP. With his last solo release nearly a year back, one look at the tracklist gives us an idea why; 5 new and exclusive works – quality takes time.

The title track opens the EP in a deep and melodic landscape burning low and steady. The vocal cuts bring an ethereal vibe as the synths crescendo and the kick beats on.

Next Dimitri shows us another side, ‘Tulipe Noir’ engages us in an electric fantasy full of swirling arpeggios cloaked in retro vibes. The collaboration with his friend Def:Play spends a tribute to an old Soul, which introduced them and kicked off the start for a beautiful friendship. A beautiful adventure right from the begin, thanks to a stunning arrangement and a knack for flow.

‘Emotions’ drops us in a world of deep heavy kicks with tense air between them. The pads rise. The reason for our journey is clear as the floor throbs with bass. But that’s not all, the waters get warmer, and the sun does shine, if only briefly.

Turning up the groove, ‘Gone’ melts the tension with a smooth groove and a solid drive. By the middle of the track, we’re caught with a contagious rhythm and natural swing.

The final track of the EP is perhaps its warmest – a beautiful break-beat adventure fantastically vocalized by Liu Bei. ‘Rise Again’ is that upbeat catchy summer tune you just can’t get enough of – done tastefully and elegantly. A beautiful and warm conclusion to an outstanding EP.

It's been in the making for many, many months and we're very proud to finally share the very first EP with you!We are extremely happy to announce Bock & Fuchs as our very first artist on Mirror Records. Of course, it's not a coincidence that this outstanding electronic live act features our premiere. We discovered Bock & Fuchs a year ago, almost exactly at the time when the idea of Mirror Records came up. And we immediately fell in love with his unique take on electronic music. With drifty grooves, crisp live drums and massive synths, Bock & Fuchs played himself into our hearts and we instantly knew he would be the perfect match for us.Monsterfox is the name of the title track and like the prey on it's flight from the name-giving predator, the lead synth shows a small glimpse now and then until it finally breaks free when the drop kicks in and the wild hunt truly starts! Monsterfox was already the perfect track for every situation but then Bock & Fuchs sent us Signal and we were completely blown away. Signal futures an outer-worldly lead synth, a heavy bass line and catchy percussions all over a stomping kick - perfect for those peak-time moments we all seek and love! To top off the EP, the third and final track called Ka Nalu Nui was the perfect complement. Ka Nalu Nui, hawaiian for the great wave, truly lives up to its name: Catchy sound bites play around a dreamy synth and a heavy bass kicks in from time to time, slowly building up, until it finally breaks like the waves on the shore. Rafael Cerato is our first remixer. We were following his work for a long time and it is a big honor to have him on board for this first release. He took on Monsterfox, making it a little more straight forward and heavier. Granting it a technoid touch that suits both, the track and the label, very well. On the other hand, Suspensus rebuild Signal to an even harder track. The rising talent added a raw and driving touch to the track, while speeding it up and therefore adding the last missing pieces to complete our first release.
