Belgian electronic pioneer, Pole Folder needs little introduction. A former protégée of the UK legend and Bedrock boss, John Digweed, Pole Folder broke onto the scene in 2001 and has since evolved into a multi-instrumentalist and live performer showcasing an exciting and unique brand of melodic house and techno. Signed to Global Underground, Renaissance and the aforementioned bedrock, Pole Folder exudes a timeless class in everything he makes.
Munich-based Aethon is the Deep-House/Ethereal-Techno alias of DJ/Producer and Modular Synth enthusiast Christian Schnall. Socialised and influenced by the alternative music of the ‘90s, he combines the melancholic teen spirit with the electronic sound of today.

The single features the vocals from highly sought-after vocalist Jinadu. With collaborations to date with Black Coffee, Hot Since 82, Eli Brown, Jamie Jones ad Dixon. He is also known as one half of The Beauty Room, a luscious, 70’s Americana inspired project that employed the skills of Grammy award winning engineer Peter Henderson (Supertramp) and string arranger Paul Buckmaster (David Bowie, Elton John) to great effect.
In original form, deep kicks and a rubbery low end form the bedrock on which sparse percussion and bright and airy synths work their magic. Jinadu’s ethereal vocals add to the air of mysticism which becomes a maelstrom of melancholy energy. A real meeting of minds with far-reaching creative potential. On remix duties, Fur Coat goes deep and musical creating a deeply hypnotic version, while Armonica slows the tempo and toughens the low-end grit with a haunting Reese bass. The release also features an ambient reimagination and shortened radio cut.

After that we bring a strong new track by Sounom and Sagou called 'Purify' and to top it off another remix for Covayelle, this time by George Alhabel who brings a spacey version which completes this package superbly.

A talented and prolific artist, Nōpi returns to Meanwhile with a second original EP in the shape of the 3-track masterpiece, "Stri;la".

A rising Ukrainian star in the underground dance firmament, Nōpi has featured in the upper echelons of the Progressive and Organic House charts with a plethora of tracks signed to finest modern imprints. Replug, When We Dip XYZ and Anjunadeep have all played host to his distinctive and mellifluous tones, while Meanwhile also saw Nōpi release a twin-track offering of the highest order in January 2021 with his "Spoon Light" EP.

The "Stri;la" title track immediately excites with its powerful rhythmic backdrop and driving beat. A running bassline soon adds to the overall urgency while trademark atmospheric keys float over the mid-range in unhurried fashion. The juxtaposition between free-flowing melodies and rapid-fire percussion creates a delicious tension, before a glorious breakdown displays a wealth of textures, effects and atmospheres. Building into a rousing crescendo, the final movement explodes into life with a cascading array of harmonies and dynamic dancefloor prowess.

Continuing the powerful rhythmic force, "Stay" combines chest-thumping kick and ticking percussive groove, while underwater effects and mesmerising looped motif create a filtered sequence that resonates with tape delay and panned ambient effects. Bearing all the hallmarks of The Future Sound of London during their "Dead Cities" era, Nōpi has successfully captured an iconic sound while simultaneously advancing it into the modern progressive zeitgeist with a plethora of attendant organic house influences and multi-faceted aural tapestry. The resultant piece is as distinctive as it is ingenious and sonically rewarding, both in club and solo listener environments.

The final track sees the deeper vibe of "My Prophet World" take centre stage. Playing host to a filtered bassline cadence and pulsating white-noise pads infused with delays, an evocative melody gradually emerges to sit perfectly atop the classy dancefloor backdrop. Over its 8-minute voyage an interwoven tapestry of pitched and delayed motifs fold over each other in coruscating patterns. Full of dancefloor knowhow and immaculate production technique, the track waxes and wanes with typical ease, hitting its mark at the 5-minute point where a magical pause provides the perfect vehicle for Nōpi's delightful melodic groove to take centre stage once more.

Able to paint a unique sonic picture with a canvas full of iridescent colour and vivid texture, Nōpi hits the heights once more with his "Stri;la" triptych.

Deep Session Dub Club, Part 2

Labyrinth Music Relaunches after a 3 year hiatus.
Making their debut on Labyrinth Clubs’ record label, Labyrinth Music are Senses of Mind. 
The mysterious duo are regulars on Steyoyoke, Proton and Somatic bringing a fresh approach to progressive house. 
Known for their open-minded music policy, Labyrinth Music has chosen club residents, Joyhauser and Kevin de Vries to remix on this EP, which marks the re-launch of the label since 2017, after taking a 3-year hiatus.

The official launch party for the release will be held on the 27th September at Labyrinth Club.
