The philosophy here is to take the best parts of metal and package them together so the genre can be properly appreciated for the genius that it is. The chaff that adds nothing to the music is tossed."

Thompson Newkirk is New York City's southern rock artist. Thompson's music is guitar forward, upbeat, and lyric based. He tells stories about love lost, getting kicked out of Canada, run in's with the law, and not letting the harsh realities of life win over the soul. His main influences stem from groups like Tedeschi Trucks Band, Dire Straits, and Phish. Almost every one of Thompson's songs start in one place and through twists, rhythm changes and breaks, end somewhere down the road. His high energy fun and audience participation style makes for a show that you don't want to miss.

I'm a wonky, wavy, psychonaut from Reno baby. Out here chillin' it and killin' it every day. Spitting lyrics from heart and making those tunes so you can hear it, wasn't sure where to start, though I done it all with spirit. 

I also have been known to get down with dropping what you would call the "Space Sauce" anytime I get on a set.
