Born in Newcastle, Australia, Daniel Johns is a vocalist, composer, guitarist, pianist and producer.  The frontman of Silverchair – one of the most acclaimed and successful bands in Australian music history. He is also one half of The Dissociatives alongside Australian dance guru Paul Mac and he is the only person to win APRA’s prestigious ‘Songwriter Of The Year’ Award three times.

Having already supported internationals like Wynter Gordon, Congorock, Kissy Sell Out and Swindle, it’s no surprise Australia’s cream of the crop have already drawn light on Laces stature as one of the true up and comers. Championed as ‘pure dopeness’ by industry legends What So Not, the modest musician has also received love and praise from crew like Spenda C, DJ Butcher, Antiheros and the dance legend himself, Ajax. With all that on his mind, it’s no wonder his weeknights are spent belting out club friendly mashups and working on his original productions, which are sure to see the light of day in 2013.

Having thrown caution to the wind for the duration of his musical career, the future of the Laces moniker is anything but predictable. His ability to span genres and swirl around the musical spectrum means his style is applicable to any and every club night, event or runway.
