Petrichor is a musical exploration of grief, substance abuse and recovery and is dedicated to friends loved and lost in recent years.

In a moving touch, opening track ‘In Memoriam’ features vocal messages from friends departed - a cathartic and emotional experience for artist and listener both. In contrast, closing track ‘Hemorroid Assteroid’, despite its ambience and drive, drips with humour and recalls a moment of laughter with a best friend.

Just as pain, anger and sadness ultimately become acceptance and growth, this musical journey evolves from darker soundscapes to lighter ones.

Petrichor is the pleasant, earthy scent produced when rain falls on dry soil and encapsulates a feeling of transmutation: rain that passes and becomes something new, something pleasant.
