"Mwaki was already dance floor ready, so I wanted to bring something totally new to it. I was listening to a lot Cumbia Rebajada when I was in Colombia making my EP last year and loved the slowed down vocals, it reminded me of UK garage. I sort of took both those as inspiration to infuse a new Afro-house sound into this record.  

There’s a phrase I found in, Kikiyu, the language that Sofiya is singing. “Kahora Karĩ Indo” it means going slow is beneficial, rushing is ruinous. I like that sentiment. We can all slow it down. That’s the spirit here." - Mia Moretti

Iman Deeper’s love for house music and techno is evident in every aspect of his work, from his live performances to his compositions and radio shows. His sound can be described as melodic and cinematic, and the ability to blend his experience in these areas makes for a unique and captivating musical experience.
