Book 5 of "Hinter uns das Land" / "Behind Us The Land" opens a new chapter: The horrors of war lie behind the protagonists, but the scars run deep. This music collection accompanies the Feyerabend family in the post-war era, a time of rebuilding, hope, and slow healing.

The music of Book 5 is an eclectic mix of styles and eras, reflecting the complexity of starting anew. German Schlager hits of the 1950s and nostalgic chansons evoke memories of the past and a rediscovered joy of life. Acoustic sounds, folk, and jazz symbolize the search for security and a new normal. Brit Pop, Swing, and Rock'n'Roll represent the dawn of a new era, while Indie Pop, Chamber Pop, and even a wedding march musically underscore the hope and the gradual blossoming of new dreams. But the shadows of the past are still present, captured in melancholic ballads, a sad piano piece, psychedelic folk, spiritual hip-hop, and powerful post-rock. Even punk rock finds its place, expressing the regained freedom and zest for life.

This music is a sonic tapestry of the post-war era, a tribute to the will to survive, the importance of family, and the strength of the human spirit. It captures the ambivalence of this epoch: The burden of memory and the simultaneous spirit of optimism, the grief for what was lost and the hope for a new beginning.

Buch 5 von "Hinter uns das Land" schlägt ein neues Kapitel auf: Die Schrecken des Krieges liegen hinter den Protagonisten, doch die Narben sind tief. Diese Musiksammlung begleitet die Familie Feyerabend in der Nachkriegszeit, einer Zeit des Wiederaufbaus, der Hoffnung und des langsamen Heilens.

Die Musik zu Buch 5 ist eine eklektische Mischung aus Stilen und Epochen, die die Vielschichtigkeit des Neubeginns widerspiegelt. Schlager der 50er Jahre und nostalgische Chansons erinnern an die Vergangenheit und die wiedergefundene Lebensfreude. I recorded the lead guitar in 2018; it was 20 minutes long. I shortened it to this track, which is still almost 5 minutes long. The lead guitars still have effects, which I don't mind too much because I like that sound. You can still adjust it with EQ and reverb. I edited my vocals in Moises' studio until I was satisfied.
A female voice can also be heard in certain phrases, which adds a bit more depth.
There are still some deep-side sounds in the vocals. I cut most of them out.
The drums, bass, and piano were recorded with Ujam and had to be adjusted with plugins. You can also hear choir vocals, bells, synths, and water effects.

Ladat, born Ladislav Tesar, is Litomerice (Czech republic) native, body and soul, who writes and composes his music in Chatel-St-Denis, Switzerland.
