Quentin Geczy, based in London, began his academic journey at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, where he completed a Bachelor’s in Molecular Cellular Development Biology (MCDB) and Economics. After his undergraduate studies, he spent two years at the University of Sydney Medical School. He intends to continue his medical training closer to home in Europe while pursuing interests in consulting and finance, especially in the healthcare sector.

During his ongoing pursuit of a medical career, Quentin has remained dedicated to both education and healthcare. He operates a private education business that supports students in STEM fields and assists them with the university application process. Alongside this, he is developing an online educational platform to provide academic resources and exam preparation for UK high school qualifications (GCSEs, A-Levels), medical entrance tests (BMAT, UCAT, GAMSAT, MCAT), and standardized exams like the SAT.

After completing high school in Australia, he moved to the United States in 2016 to begin his studies at Yale. Geczy became proficient in handling large datasets using R and applied economic theories to analyze complex real-world problems. His senior thesis in MCDB, titled “Psychedelic Renaissance in Psychiatry,” explored the role of the 5-HT2A receptor and how its activation through serotonergic psychedelics promotes neuroplasticity. This work aligned with emerging approaches to treating mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and addiction.

His dual background in science and economics gave him critical thinking skills and a multidisciplinary perspective. He also developed strong communication abilities that allow him to present completes clearly. Alongside academics, he was a Division I Varsity Athlete at Yale, competing in Lightweight Crew. He became an Eastern Sprints Champion and placed second at the USA U23 Lightweight Men’s Quad National Team Selection Regatta, gaining valuable experience in leadership and discipline.
