Syce Was born in 1983, and raised in Maryland and also lived in Washington, DC for a while. Growing up, Syce listened to his father singing in church. His father was, to Syce, a renaissance musician. Besides his father, Syce was influenced by popular artists on the radio, such as EU, Run DMC , LL Cool J, KOOL MOE DEE, N.W.A, and ICE CUBE, just to name a few. Little did young Syce realize how influential these artists would be in sculpting him to become an artist himself. Back in those days, Hip-Hop delivered a message without any fights,just battles. It was, what Syce calls, “real hip-hop music”. Syce’s was determined to put in the hard work, so that he could become a new Icon, like the icons of his childhood.
