Mexican Disco-House adventurer and co-founder Deep Sense Juan Vargas already boasts many years of experience as a DJ and counts an increasing career on his back playing in the top clubs of Mexico and some others out of his country. 

Over the years of his career he was running many residencies, working as booking manager and music director at different venues of his hometown.
His DJ sets are remembered for his mixing technique, dynamism and also a great musical selection taking you on cruise of a wide variety of moods and genres with essences from the Soul, Funk, Jazz, Latin, Afrobeat, from Disco to House. Reach Up Disco Wonderland are a collective consisting of Andy Smith, Crissy Kybosh & Nick Halkes that present 80s boogie, Disco and Proto House, evoking the spirit and dipping into the soundtrack of legendary NYC clubs such as ‘Paradise Garage’ & ‘Studio 54’.

The crew run a monthly club night at The Bussey Building in South London as part of South London Soul Train. Past appearances have seen them take their sounds  to Lovebox, Bestival and regular slots at the late dance music mecca Space Ibiza for Carl Cox's legendary residency.

In this addition we get the classic feel from the boys featuring some originals by Dayton, Jimmy Ross, Serious Intention, Delegation + some re-edits and tracks from Reach Up Disco Wonderland themselves including Andy's version of Kleeer's "Get Tough", Crissy's edit of Idris Muhammad entitled "Heaven" and original work from Nick Reach Up featuring Jazz Morley out on Midnight Riot. Chuck in a couple of reworked numbers from the likes of Dimitri From Paris & Joey Negro and that concludes this mix as a certified feel good disco power hour.

It's a real pleasure to have this mix from someone who we have massively respected for some years within the London scene, having had the honour of him joining us at our parties on a few occasions to dish out some raw, unfiltered selections from his encyclopaedic catalogue. 

Stephen Titmus is a music journalist and DJ from London with nearly two decades of experience. His enviable record collection touches on a broad spectrum of soulful sounds. Recent gigs include Glastonbury's Block 9, Liverpool Disco Festival, Spiritland and Brilliant Corners. The mix rolls from boogie to house, with a few exclusive edits added to spice things up.

Edition 016 see's us bring forth Belfast based, Brighton native, Hot Digits label boss and long time inspiration to us - Fingerman.

Gregg Holmes aka Fingerman has been one of the most dedicated re-edit masters to our knowledge. Since our inception as a little gathering in the upstairs of Shoreditch boozer 8 years ago, we have avidly collected his reworks, re-edits and more recently his newer original productions on his label.  Without a shadow of a doubt, he had a profound effect on us at the beginning of our foray into playing Disco - introducing us to a barrage of old music, previously unknown to us, all touched by his masterful style creating extensions and more DJ friendly versions of some classic tracks and lesser known rarities which are either hard to get hold of, or lets face it, just a pain in the arse to mix due to live drum and percussive elements on the original recordings.

His work is regularly praised for by two of the most influential figures within the edit scene - Dimitri From Paris & Greg Wilson (who has consecutively charted Fingerman edits on his Credit To The Edit blog for the past 5 years - and even released a few on his A&R edits imprint)

Over the years, we've kept an attentive ear to Gregg's sounds and have witnessed the development from his early days up until the present, its been a great process to listen to and also watch reactions to his material on the dancefloor too, having witnessed the man himself play on the same stage at us at Locomotive Disco in London and also for his mammoth annual street party in Brighton for Pride Festival with the Get Down Edits guys & Jay Ru (check his Soundcloud for the extended recordings of these events)

Ladies On Mars has been one of the most prominent artists on our blog this Spring. Behind the moniker we find Argentinian Jonathan Douglas Braverman. 
Born and raised in Buenos Aires the Nu Disco sensation is rapidly becoming a household name halfway across the world. 
A producer since 2006, starting out in 1999, Braverman has the experience and the talent that makes him transcend as an artist.

International Dj, producer and remixer Jonathan Douglas Braverman, known as Ladies On Mars, has been on a musical journey since the conception of 2006 of his successful Minimal Techno music project. The artist born in Buenos Aires has accumulated numerous achievements, although it was his 2007 hit "We Are Not Lesvicon", published on Xela Digital, which really impelled Ladies On Mars to be in the eye of the storm, reaching within the TOP 40 of Beatport's Minimal. Another of his great achievements was in 2009 when he won the Beatport contest for remixing the song "Peace" by the group Depeche Mode, his remix became the best-selling band in Beatport for several years.

Since then, the native of Argentina has continued to evolve, mutating its sound, perfecting from the Minimal Techno of its beginnings to the Tech-House, current Funky House. Remixing artists like Aka Aka and Home Video. Editing his music on labels such as Prison Entertainment, Emi Music or his own label: Boom Zwapp Records.

In addition to having an impressive subsequent catalog of solo and collaborative productions, Ladies On Mars has also offered remixes for numerous top-level musicians, including: AKA AKA, Daniele Petronelli, Min & Mal, Home Video, etc ...

Outside of the studio, Jonathan is a touring DJ who is in great demand and his daily agenda is fuller. Taking their Marsian sound and a unique mix of spatial sounds with a lot of groove mixed with Funk, House and Tech-House directly to the dance floor in some of the best clubs, festivals and events in the world in countries, including: Germany, Spain, Mexico, Peru, Bolivia and Argentina.
