The 41st release on Sound Avenue finds the Belgian imprint showcasing the winner's from the labels recent Han Haak 'Slaves In Transit' remix competition. The Original version was one of the standout selections on the labels 2013 Summer Sampler. The remix competition yielded several worthy submissions and after narrowing down nearly one hundred entries to ten label boss Dominique Heyninck began the arduous task of selecting the ones best suited to the ever evolving Sound Avenue umbrella. With a commissioned remix from Sebastian Markiewicz already in the bag the three competition winners chosen in the end were Mohn (NL), Phonic Scoupe and Matt Cahill. 
The first (and previously commissioned) remix is supplied by Sebastian Markiewicz who makes his Sound Avenue debut following three appearances on sister imprint Crossfade Sounds. The Polish producer's mammoth techno take on 'Slaves In Transit' shines with a tough granular groove, futuristic sound swells and apocalyptic overtones which are sure to be devastating on the darker dancefloors. 
Capturing the prestigious first place spot in the competition was Mohn (NL) who has already achieved some nice success with an appearance on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeats Volume 2 compilation which was released in June of this year. The Dutch producers inspired take on timeless techno has been perfectly captured once again on his 'Slaves In Transit' remix. It's shimmering keys and shifty tones are undeniably catchy and the blissful harmonic underbelly is the icing on the cake. A standout interpretation from a future star in the making. 
Second place in the competition went to the hugely up and coming Phonic Scoupe. In addition to a strong run of releases on Stripped Recordings the production trio has turned in several outstanding bootlegs this year. For their 'Slaves In Transit' interpretation Phonic Scoupe have turned in a deep and groovy rework which proves to be an excellent contrast to the previous more techno inspired mixes. It's elastic-like bass hooks, drifting soundscapes and expertly tailored electronics make for one of the best remixes of their career thus far.
Closing the release out is the third place winner and relative newcomer Matt Cahill. With no previously released productions Matt took a shot in the competition and scored big. His atmospheric tech house reconstruction proves to not only be a great addition to the package but the beginnings of a very promising production career.

It's been a great year for us, releasing some music we really believe in, working with people we really respect and somehow leaving our footprint on the brazilian and international electronic music scene. On our 10th release, we feel like we have inspired a whole generation of artists, from newcomers to old school djs and producers, who created this music exclusively for our label. International Dj, producer and remixer Jonathan Douglas Braverman, known as Ladies On Mars, has been on a musical journey since the conception of 2006 of his successful Minimal Techno music project. The artist born in Buenos Aires has accumulated numerous achievements, although it was his 2007 hit "We Are Not Lesvicon", published on Xela Digital, which really impelled Ladies On Mars to be in the eye of the storm, reaching within the TOP 40 of Beatport's Minimal. Another of his great achievements was in 2009 when he won the Beatport contest for remixing the song "Peace" by the group Depeche Mode, his remix became the best-selling band in Beatport for several years.

Since then, the native of Argentina has continued to evolve, mutating its sound, perfecting from the Minimal Techno of its beginnings to the Tech-House, current Funky House. Remixing artists like Aka Aka and Home Video. Editing his music on labels such as Prison Entertainment, Emi Music or his own label: Boom Zwapp Records.

In addition to having an impressive subsequent catalog of solo and collaborative productions, Ladies On Mars has also offered remixes for numerous top-level musicians, including: AKA AKA, Daniele Petronelli, Min & Mal, Home Video, etc ...

Outside of the studio, Jonathan is a touring DJ who is in great demand and his daily agenda is fuller. Taking their Marsian sound and a unique mix of spatial sounds with a lot of groove mixed with Funk, House and Tech-House directly to the dance floor in some of the best clubs, festivals and events in the world in countries, including: Germany, Spain, Mexico, Peru, Bolivia and Argentina.
