Old Model is a band with soulful style that touches on blues, surfer rock, and folk.  The band is influenced by the likes of Tracy Chapman, Robert Johnson, Marvin Gaye, Tommy Emmanuel and other greats.   

The band initially came together in 2012, when New York and London ex-pats, Andrew Macrae and Bomo Piri, decided to form band upon their arrival to Sydney Australia.  The following year when they finally started to make waves, they teamed up with Sydney local, drummer Nick Worsthorne.  By this time, Piri and Macrae built an extensive repertoire of songs, penned from stories and encounters with unique people and odd nights in their new surroundings.  Following the collaboration with Worsthorne,  the band also began to experiment with a more bluesy sound, stemming from Worsthorne’s prodigy like range of blues and jazz artists. 

The band released a demo EP in 2014 and played several shows and open mic nights with cameo performances from Sydney’s best up and coming musicians for an added dynamic. Their vibe and goal was encouraging an atmosphere of community and effervescent fun.   

A few years later the Donegal band parted ways, but their sound lives on as "Old Model."

Well, we go by the intriguing name "Lady Finch". We could be related to a sexy & mysterious female role within american movies from 70's..

Lady Gouldian Finch is a species of nomadic bird that found Australia as a host country. "Lady Finch", a 4-piece Australian indie rock band based in Bondi, Sydney - Australia as our new hometown. The crave of traveling, ticking our own boxes and having the World as a playground is the reason why we ended up building this amazing project far away from home, called "Better just to run". This EP will be released in 2014. Wait a bit..don't be that impatient, we'll keep you posted! ;)
