Hey friends,
I'm back with another episode - this time it is mixed by TakaTukka.
Lean back and enjoy, this extra slow ride..

For years drifting on electronic music festivals, @TAkATukkA started to collect and mix music in 2017. The favourite sound crystallized around deep and melodic tunes being produced or pitched to comfortable 100 - 110 bpm, sometimes even below. Due to lack of pleasant electronic venues in Sbg, he co-founded the downtempo collective @LauterKlabauter. The idea is to promote  SlowRave in an otherwise fast-paced music scene, to connect people with stirring sounds that create an atmosphere of bliss and comfort. Since 2020 TAkATukkA is co-hosting a monthly radio show for electronic world music presenting latest releases of respected labels and upcoming artists.
 
This mix is a short drive from naturalistic melodies to bounxy basslines, intermezzos and back. tempered at juicy 90 bpm.

S: Hi Kiki what was your first track you felt in love with during your childhood?
K: The first tracks I liked the most in my childhood were Peter Schilling - Major Tom & Stereo MC´s - Connected 
S: ... and the last track you digged ?
K:  My last Track that i digged is Okuma - Urmel 
S: ...and maybe could you tell us how did you get into the music cooking pot ?
K:  I grew up in a very music loving family. There always was a lot of music being heard, made by ourselves and a lot of dancing,
therefore it was around me from early on.  Also I tried to learn different instruments and different dance styles in my childhood, and in the end i was the one responsible for the music at private parties by putting together playlists for it. 
My friends always told me that maybe I should become a real DJ - which I did and I have loved it ever since.

Umami Orgánica by @marliblue_sofyah

Umami ist die 5. Geschmacksrichtung. Nicht süß, nicht sauer, nicht bitter, nicht salzig - was vorher irgendwie herzhaft lecker aber undefinierbar war, erhielt mit ‚umami‘ erst viel später ein eigenes Adjektiv. Das bedeutet so viel wie ‚wohlschmeckend‘ oder ‚würzig‘. Also irgendwie ein bisschen was von allem, aber irgendwie auch anders…und trotzdem einfach köstlich! So ist auch diese Serafin Sinfonia. Auf der vorwiegend organischen Zutatenliste stehen treibende Basslines und viel Percussion, weit gereiste Vocals, ein wenig bouncige Groovyness und vielleicht ein klitzekleines bisschen Melancholie. Ein paar länger gegarte all-time-favorite-Downtempo-Banger gepaart mit frisch geernteten Releases. Hin und wieder ergibt das im Abgang die ein oder andere unerwartete Geschmacksexplosion und fügt sich doch irgendwie zu einer geschmeidigen Mélange zusammen.

• What are your musical influences? What is your musical background?

I dont "come" from a musical background, in my child hood music wasn't a very present aspect in my life and now it is what I dedicate my moments to. Sound is what interests me, the daily life sound, the sounds that hold invitations to deepen your moments, the sounds that make my inner and outer world move with curiosity, sounds for the deep listener. 

Opening Traktor for the first time in 2019 when in hospital with help from a dear beloved, I was made aware on such a deep level the ability of healing which comes from outworldy expresion through sound. From that point on the rabbit hole of wonder continues.

 

• What makes good "afterhour"?

A good afterhour for me are the moments of deep surrender, filled with Gratitude for the present. Being surrounded by and experiencing it with loving beings in softness, cheekiness and love. Lets pour some tea and listen to some melting ambient together, or lay in the sun listening to the wind in the trees, lets laugh and celebrate eachother. 

 • Do you have any thoughts you would like to share about your set?

I had the impulse to play the same track at the start and at the end, to hold the journey with the message of Love. This for me, is what I wish to convey in all my musical journeys. 

 
• What was your experience of the set you recorded?

Beate Uwe is one of my beloved home bases, so playing here is always a heart expansion. Watching the bodies flowing and moving on all different levels was and is such a joy, I was in awe at the beauty of it all. It is such an honour to play for you and to share this experience together. The last track moment has imprinted on me, an invitation into stillness it was beautiful to witness the embraces of self and others.

LA FEMME MYSTIFIÉE:
what it means to be a woman for you?

R3NATA:
For me, being a woman is a gift. A gift from the universe that my mom and dad taught me it needs to be nurtured and cherished every day wherever I may be. I love being a woman, wearing lipstick, painting my nails pink and I am here to continue supporting the women's movement in any form that I can. Seeing that the movement has been alive and kicking for a very long time now, I want to thank all the sisters who have advocated for equality and who have shown us to be resilient throughout the years. This is a work in progress and I am hopeful that we can continue changing the system because so much is evolving rapidly, and there is a flexibility to this era that feels very exciting to me.
