Marc-lo is native of Florianópolis (SC) and acts as a DJ and producer, being resident of the DUNA project. 

As a producer, he had international releases on the labels Manuscript Records, Moskalus Records, and Earthrumental Music and also had a song released by Warung Recordings and EP's by Radiola Records and Cutting Corners.

Acting as a dj, he has performed in events like TribalTech, Terraza Music Park, Surreal Park, TROOP, D-Edge, Sounds in da City, Seas and shared the booth with artists like Moodymann, Fred P., Tom Trago, tINI, DJ Masda, Laurine & Cecilio, Cassy, Ryan Elliot, Lamache, Lowris, Patrice Scott, XDB and other big names in electronic music.

Following a refined selection, without genders and with its own identity, it always seeks to create the perfect environment for each place and moment.

3 QUESTIONS to KADOSH:

Q: Let's get into the mood for your mix. Why did you choose these tracks and what did they meant to you once and still mean to you today?

A: I choose these tunes because although they don't represent my sound, they do reflect in various ways my approach as an artist these days. Needless to say, this music influenced my romantic journey with electronic music.

Q: Would you still play some of those tracks in your DJ sets today?

A: The answer is yes. Most have been dropped during the years in my sets. I believe that in the right moment, each track has its place during the journeys I try to create.

Q: What projects are you currently working on and what can we expect from you soon?

A: Last year my main focus in the studio was on creating the album which was released in August, while in 2023 my goal is to put out more singles which some already found their way to labels like Multinotes, Rebirth, Exploited, Monaberry, Live at Robert Johnson, and many more. Parallel to that, I plan to keep working with some of the amazing artists on my label Frau Blau. Furthermore, you can catch me play during the next months in Europe at some of my favorite destinations. I will also return to Latin America for a few shows, as well as debut in some spots in Asia which will be announced soon. Thanks to Marc DePulse for the opportunity to be part of this important platform.

La Fleur is one of those individuals who excel at anything they put their mind to and as a result her career is now thriving. Her driving ambition to make music led to her hanging up the lab coat and leave her steady job as a pharmacist in order to pursue making people dance. She has a number of different ventures in motion, which, not only includes being a DJ and producer, but a label owner, fashion designer, radio host and a mixed media artist, all of which are seeing sustained levels of success.

Turning heads globally, La Fleur was recently named the #1 charted artist on Resident Advisor and won the P3 Guild award for ‘Best Electronic Act’. She has seen huge success from all of her releases, in particular 'Hedione' and her 'Flowerhead' EP which just received a 2016 rework and remixes from Cassy and Dana Ruh. As well as pushing out constant original releases, La Fleur has become a regular go-to producer for her remix skills: She’s recently remixed the likes of Andhim, Carl Craig and Ian Pooley, as well as being called upon to put together guest radio mixes for Pete Tong, B. Traits and Heidi. She is currently the resident at Watergate, featured at Panorama Bar and played for Boiler Room twice (most recently along side Richie Hawtin and Dubfire).

Now on the eve of her debut Australian tour which includes a highly anticipated set for Piknic Électronik in Melbourne (https://www.facebook.com/events/1313101602043820/), and with new music on the way in the form of a remix for Francesca Lombardo (to be released on Echoe) alongside a remix for Hot Since 82’s Knee Deep In Sound imprint, she has taken some time out of her busy schedule to deliver an excellent Balance Selections podcast. Everybody loves blondes right? Well In the last few years we’ve become even more of a fan of the fair, well ish as Canadian born London based duo Blond:ish have captured our attention with their unique production recipe which focuses on the art of creating music that is organic and multi-dimensional. Provocative basslines contrast with smooth textures and haunting vocals to defy categorization as anything other than cool. 

Thus it is with great excitement we welcome the girls in for this weeks podcast after a huge 2012 wherein they stormed the scene with a series of big releases including their psychedelic influenced ‘Lovers In Limbo’ EP  on Kompakt  which showcased Blond:ish’s curiosity of the late 60’s musical movement, as well dropping stellar efforts for Noir Music, NM2 and Get Physical. 

So with a big year behind them and even bigger 2013 planned with an extensive set of tour dates including Flying Circus in Ibiza at the end of the month and the Chicago leg of the Electric Daisy Carnival, things certainly seem to be looking up for the duo.  Quirky and innovative, very much like their native city of Montreal and the organized chaos that have accompanied their sets there since they burst onto the scene with their acclaimed residency at the city’s Cherry Club, we think the mix they’ve delivered from a small village in deepest, darkest Mexico is the perfect thing to get you in the mood for the summer ahead.
