Raagleela is a Delhi based Indian Classical Fusion band.Raga” the essence of Indian classical music and “leela” the playfulness says it all. Raagleela aims to take Indian classical to the mass with world fusion. Different tracks of Raagleela depict different emotions and has its own sound. We have experimented Indian classical music with JAZZ, psychedelic rock, Dubstep funk etc. We are binding ourselves into Indian classical music but at the same time we have no boundaries as a complete sound. We draw our influence from bands and artists like Karsh Kale, Anoushka Shankar, Prem Joshua etc

Ghode is Raagleela's original which stands for the energy this song brings. It depicts the Celebration of life. Based in Raag Bageshree, which is meant to depict the emotion of a woman waiting for reunion with her lover. It is said to have been first sung by Mian Tansen, the celebrated court singer of the Emperor Akbar in the sixteenth century

Ghode - Raagleela - Raag Bageshri

A collaboration with the brilliantly talented @rvijaynarain, this is a mashup of a Marwari dialect thumri Senraan Ra Baairya (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9h7p4-15ZNU) and Kailash Kher's rendition of Kabir's Naiharwa. 

Both are love songs, but go deeper than just physical desire. The first one asks to be carried away by the sweet breeze while the second one uses the metaphor of a bride separated from her beloved to hint at the fallacy of duality (advaita, if you will)
