Ólafur Arnalds is a BAFTA-winning multi-instrumentalist and producer from Mosfellsbær, Iceland. Ólafur Arnalds mixes strings and piano with loops and beats crossing over from ambient/electronic to pop.

Começou em 1987 com 9 anos quando os meus pais me ofereçeram um "orgão" nos meus anos. E em 1990 ja fazia as minhas próprias composições e dava festas cá em casa. Depois aos 14 anos fui para o Conservatorio Distrital de Castelo Branco onde aprendi algumas luzes de música o que foi alguma ajuda para mim, mas sempre fui autodidata. Aos 15 anos conheci um grande musico, Mário Frasco, que para mim foi uma das pessoa que acreditou em mim e que me impulsionou no mundo da Musica. E aos 16 anos fui membro de uma Banda que se chamava "GOANA" (quer dizer "lagarto" em Timorense) onde tive a experiência do contacto com o publico (confesso que não e fácil mas agente vai-se habituando!) e por fim, 4 anos mais tarde começei a trabalhar na área da Restauraçao e Padaria o que nao tem nada a ver com musica mas o que seria da musica sem este sustento? Pois é! Consegui montar o meu estúdio onde actualmente produzo a minha musica e que espero que gostem! Um Abraço Forte Para todos os que me apoiaram e continuam a apoiar. Nunca desistas dum sonho!
