Paul Esch performs live acoustic music including a variety of classic acoustic light rock music, blues, guitar instrumentals, favorite cover tunes, contemporary pop music and original songs featuring great vocals and harmonica solos for over 15 years.

He studied guitar with Grammy winning national acoustic guitar finger picking champion Pat Donohue of Prairie Home Companion fame. Paul's experience includes leading live acoustic music duos, trios and five piece rock bands.

His debut CD "Go Ask the Sky Why" and "Light the Night Concerts for Crime Prevention" were profiled on KARE-11 TV "Finding What Works." He was also featured on KCFE-FM radio and Joe Soucheray's Garage Logic radio program.

Paul has performed live guitar music for many corporate parties, country clubs, restaurants, bars, patios, ski resorts and outdoor music venues such as the Lake Harriet Band Shell and Como Lakeside Pavilion.

I'm a singer, songwriter, and guitarist into many styles. The original music I share here is my self-recorded basement experimentation, but my goal is to keep connecting with other musicians—whether that means in a studio, gigging, or both. Open to ideas and collaborations!

With Stones in His Pockets is a singer-songwriter from South London. He writes formally experimental gothic music that dwells at the murky boundary between folk and post-rock; pessimistic but weirdly uplifting songs about broken-hearted people on the fringes of society.

Through his solo performance, With Stones channels the impact of a full rock band. In each sparse, tangled song is an orchestral epic trying to get out. On stage, he strains every sinew to bring the crowd into his dynamic, idiosyncratic musical world, where psych rock, folk, classical and jazz jostle for space, and catharsis is thin on the ground.
