Viktor Tsoi, founder and frontman of the Kino band, is considered one of the most important pioneers of rock music in the Soviet Union, and one of the most influential and popular people in the history of Russian music.
Kukushka was written by Viktor Tsoi in the village of Plienciems near Jurmala, where he came to relax and record a demo draft of the band's new album. All melodic moves in the song (both at the beginning and at the end) were invented by Tsoi. It is one of the last songs of Tsoi, written shortly before his death in August 1990. It's a very personal and profound work.
This track became just as personal and deep for our friend and partner Andrew Drum https://soundcloud.com/andrewdrum
In the end, he could not resist and recorded a remix of this beautiful song. The remix turned out to be rhythmic, deep and very heartfelt. Listen, enjoy and share with your friends.
