For me George Best was the greatest player that ever lived, but suffered from being better at what he did than everybody else. 
At one time in my life I think I was within an inch of becoming an alcoholic and yes at the time it solved all my problems. I was rescued by a beautiful women but unfortunately George was not.
He was one of my greatest heroes and I spent a large amount of my early years trying to emulate some of his football skills. I was given the opportunity to meet him on two occasions and he was a really nice genuine man and I was really upset when he died.
My brother Brian and me completed this recording in one afternoon and he came up with the fantastic bass line, it was always our intention to develop it and take it further.

Ah, the people we meet, and cross paths with, in this life…. So many experiences. How do we respond, especially if life clashes with these chance meetings? And what becomes of it? Once when looking for a place to rent, (25 years ago) I stopped to talk with an old man sitting on a bench. He had so much to say. My partner slowly became furious with me for taking the time to talk with him. We don’t have to wonder how that relationship went. In other words, this song is not about her…. Hee-hee. Or the old man for that matter. However, there are moments when paths cross, sometimes coming from very different trajectories and all of a sudden something wonderful happens in that moment. Gather, you might have experienced that too. This song is about a brief encounter with a kindred spirit, where our life trajectories did not change: A moment in passing. The song also contains some socially relevant thoughts/ lyrics about the world and my experience of it. Thoughts are thoughts though, and I find the more flexibly malleable I am with them, especially when it comes to the relative truths they may, or may not contain, the freer I am. Seems the more I attach to thoughts and refuse to change, the worse off it seems to get… But that’s just me. Hope you enjoy the song, Mark

It's always difficult to find people we are collaboratively compatible with ..  a compatibility of Spirit shall we say...  but from the moment I heard Gaz sing with his intense, captivating voice, I was hooked, and with the amazing production & direction given by Andy, I knew I was home.  It's such an honor and thrill for me whenever they ask me to join them on a song, and their style, musicianship, and sheer talent is always so inspirational, and infectious. The song has amazing vocal moments, and I dare say our vocal blend, and the mix by Andy, is heaven to me. To say this has a been a sheer Joy and a Thrill, is an understatement!!!
