UK native Saytek has been tearing it up on Dancefloors across the land and we are so excited and fortunate this week to have Saytek with us.  His tracks have recently been picked up by some of the biggest names on the planet Carl Cox and Steve Lawler, and Darren Emerson on their respective labels recently. It is worth mentioning he has releases on many other respectable labels such as New Violence, Superfreq, and many more. His approach to performing with live instruments has gained him much praise and as a result he sort of skipped the DJing phase of his career. We have a great Q & A to go along with this wonderful session Saytek put together for us. For now sit back and unwrap this two hour live jam session recorded from an undisclosed venue in Berlin. Electronic music artist, born in Barcelona,
always attracted to avant-garde and futuristic sounds, he begins his career as a deejay in 2007. 
Playing in small clubs and raves, rapidly became curious and started buying equipment to produce his own beat. 
Nowadays he has developed a sound that is dark and with heavy grooves, combining experimental with classic electronic music to create his particular vision about Techno. 
Always focused on the dance floor, his mixes are dark and kind of experimental, never stepping aside from his melodic and emotional part, creating unique vibes. 
In 2017, Berlin imprint ‘Resopal Schallware’ trusted him, reaching and featured on Beatport’s top 100 Techno charts with his ‘Forbidden Lust' EP. 
He also has released on labels like 'Mind Games Recordings' (It) and ‘Hide+Seek’ (UK).

Traversing between headphone listening and euphoric dance floor journeys, Fluida’s music manages to be both club friendly and intimate. The result is a breadth of sound connects deeply with people both in the early evening and at those special moments in the early hours of the morning.

Following several multicoloured ‘Spiral’ releases on Fatboy Slim’s Southern Fried Records, the pair quickly garnered diverse support from DJ’s such as Joris Voorn, Sasha, Roger Sanchez, Matthias Meyer, Lee Burridge, Tiesto, Audiofly, Izhevsky, Kölsch and Pete Tong.

Further releases have come via Anjunadeep, Get Physical, Supernature and Flying Circus, closing 2018 with a blissful EP on Behrouz’s Do Not Sit On The Furniture Recordings. Upcoming releases for 2019 include Kindisch, Sol Selectas and Anjunadeep, as well as a series of vinyl only exclusives on the duo’s own imprint.

Fluida’s unique live/DJ set continues to set them apart, incorporating the steel pan ‘hang drum’ featured on many of their tracks. This live instrument in the DJ booth offers a unique energy and an immediate connection with the audience. The duo recently sold out their first headline show in East London. 

The pair regularly share their eclectic tastes through radio slots on Bloop London and Ibiza Sonica. ‘Zenji’ EP lands December 2018 on Do Not Sit On The Furniture Recordings.

HMWL Podcast 179 - FLUIDA (Supernature Recordings, Do Not Sit On The Furniture)

Having debuted on Midnight Riot back in the summer of 2018, Doctor Soul returns for a second consultation on Yam Who's prolific imprint. Identifying a desire to dance all night, he first prescribes "Disco Royale", a breezy, mid-tempo affair where super-sweet female backing vocals and punchy orchestrated instrumentation rise above a squeezable, bass-heavy disco groove. In case that's not enough to put us back on the right track, the good doctor also offers up some peak-time ready, piano-rich AOR disco ("Down Here, In The Sea of Love") and a surprisingly feverish chunk of 110 BPM Latin disco chug (the eyes-closed guitar solos, layered percussion and sharp, horn-heavy vibes of "Maria Fumacala"). Take all three before bedtime and you'll be right as rain in the morning.
