Shane Krause is a Saxophonist and Clarinetist (primarily baritone and bass, respectively). Primary areas of focus are improvisation and avant garde composition.

Rodrigo Bussad is the winner of the 2014 American Prize in Composition category in the Student Chamber Music Division with the work Loin. He was also winner of the same competition in two other occasions.

Bussad is the winning composer of the 2017 Ukho Ensemble Workshop and the 2015 Valencia International Performance Academy (VIPA).

He has his works premiered on three continents and selected for Music festivals and conferences such as the IRCAM’S Manifeste, Ukho Ensemble Workshop, Mise-en Festival, Composit, SoundSCAPE Festival among others. His music has travelled the Americas, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Moldova, Taiwan and Korea.Renowned ensembles highlighting the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Frost Symphony Orchestra, Spektral Quartet, Imani Winds, Ukho Ensemble, Brower Trio:B3, Ensemble motoContraio, cross.art Ensemble, Ensemble Paramirabo, NanaFormosa Percussion Duo, and performers such as Svet Stoyanov, Ermis Theodorakis, Allison Balcetis, Céline Papion, Maria Sumareva, Daniel Pesca and Pedro Gadelha, have commissioned/worked with him.
Bussad is currently pursuing his PhD degree in Composition at The University of Chicago.

Scott Edward Godin began his musical training on piano, completing a Bachelor of Music Degree in 1993 with Helmut Brauss. By winning the Johann Strauss competition in 1993, Scott was able to study in Vienna, Austria with internationally renowned pianist Paul Badura-Skoda in 1993 and 1994. Completing a Doctoral Degree in Musical Composition in June 2003 with John Rea at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, his music has been performed throughout Europe, Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Various international festivals and workshops have allowed Scott to work alongside such composers as Louis Andriessen, Nicholas Huber, Steve Martland, Martijn Padding, Denys Bouliane, and Michael Smetanin. Accolades include the 2007 Joseph Stauffer Prize for Composition, finalist for the 1999 Gaudeamus Competition in Amsterdam, Holland, finalist in the 1999 Canadian Broadcasting Corporation Young Composers' Competition, five prizes in SOCAN Young Composers Competitions (Canada), including Serge Garant Awards for chamber music in 1996 and 1998, prizewinner for German Radio in the 1997 NRW Symposium (Wesel, Germany), and four compact disc releases, “Devil’s Dance,” “Westwind,” "bien serre," and "Soundland Alberta," the latter which reached number one in Atlanta's WREK FM heavy rotation list on June 22, 1997. Scott has worked with various ensembles and soloists, including ensemble KORE (Montréal), la Société de la Musique Contemporaine du Québec (Montréal), ensemble de ereprijs (Apeldoorn, Holland), Orkest De Volharding (Amsterdam, Holland), Continuum (Toronto), Arraymusic (Toronto), and the Windsor Symphony Orchestra. Recent projects have included music for film (Sharkboy, 2004), contemporary dance (Stereo, 2005), orchestra (o sweet spontaneous, 2007), and rock band (Joni Mitchell Never Lies, 2007). Scott has also been Visiting Professor of Music Theory and Composition at both Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia (2010-11) and Memorial University of Newfoundland in St. John’s, Newfoundland (2008-09).

Richard Lainhart is an award-winning composer, author, and filmmaker - a digital artisan who works with sonic and visual data. Since childhood, he's been interested in natural processes such as waves, flames and clouds, in harmonics and harmony, and in creative interactions with machines, using them as compositional methods to present sounds and images that are as beautiful as he can make them. 

Lainhart studied composition and electronic music with Joel Chadabe at the State University of New York at Albany. He has composed music for film, television, CD-ROMs, interactive applications, and the Web. His compositions have been performed in the US, England, Sweden, Germany, Australia, and Japan. Recordings of his music have appeared on the Periodic Music, Vacant Lot, XI Records, Airglow Music, Tobira Records, and ExOvo labels. As an active performer, Lainhart has appeared in public approximately 2000 times. Besides performing his own work, he has worked and performed with John Cage, David Tudor, Steve Reich, Phill Niblock, David Berhman, and Jordan Rudess, among many others. He has composed over 100 electronic and acoustic works. In 2008, he was commissioned by the Electronic Music Foundation to contribute a work to New York Soundscape.

Lainhart's animations and short films have been shown at festivals in the US, the UK, Canada, Germany, and Korea, and online at ResFest, The New Venue, The Bitscreen, and Streaming Cinema 2.0. His film "A Haiku Setting" won awards in several categories at the 2002 International Festival of Cinema and Technology in Toronto. In 2009, he was awarded a Film & Media grant by the New York State Council on the Arts for "No Other Time", full-length intermedia performance designed for a large reverberant space, combining live analog electronics with four-channel playback, and high-definition computer-animated film projection.

Crossing between Vancouver’s new music, improvised music and world music scenes, erhu/Chinese violin performer and composer Lan Tung is the artistic director of the Orchid Ensemble & Proliferasian. Originally from Taiwan and trained in Chinese music, Lan enjoys experimenting with contradictions by taking culturally specific materials outside their context and fusing them with other genres. Her rhythmic intricacy has a direct influence from Indian music, while her passionate melodies from Flamenco and Central Asian music, and the sense of breath/space from Chinese music. Her music has been released on a number of CDs, winning multiple nominations by the JUNO Awards, Independent Music Awards, Canadian Independent Music Awards, and Western Canadian Music Awards. Lan also performs with the world/Indian fusion band Tandava, contemporary jazz/improv trio Birds of Paradox, Mozaico Flamenco Dance Theatre, and the Vancouver Inter-Cultural Orchestra. 

Besides many years of studies of Chinese music, Lan has studied graphic score with Barry Guy, improvisation with Mary Oliver, Hindustani music with Kala Ramnath, and Uyghur music with Abdukerim Osman. At the Vancouver Creative Music Institute (2007-2009), she has studied and performed with Han Bennink (Holland), Barry Guy, Evan Parker, John Butcher (UK), Francois Houle, Paul Plimley…etc. 

Lan was a soloist with Orchestre Metropolitain (Montreal), Symphony Nova Scotia, Turning Point Ensemble (Vancouver), Atlas Ensemble (Amsterdam & Helsinki), Little Giant Chinese Chamber Orchestra (Taiwan) and Orchestra Armonia (Vancouver). She has toured in North America, Europe and Asia, with performances at Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ (Amsterdam), Place des Arts (Montreal), National Arts Centre (Ottawa), Sibelius Academy (Musica Nova Helsinki), Kennedy Centre (DC), Chan Centre (Vancouver), Smithsonian Institute, Ottawa Chamber Music, Folk and Jazz festivals, Vancouver Jazz and Folk festivals.
