Frank Burkitt is a fantastic singer/songwriter whose specialty is connecting with his audience by embarking on rambling, but hopefully amusing, anecdotes for each of his songs. Add to this the incredible harmonies and delicious flute of partner Kara Filbey and you are left with a winning combination. 

Winners of the Vodafone NZ Music Award for Best Folk Artist (Tui) 2019,Frank and Kara founded The Frank Burkitt Band in Wellington in 2014. 3 albums, 2 EPs and several national tours of New Zealand, Australia and the UK followed before Frank and Kara relocated to Manchester, UK in late 2019. Their 3rd and most recent album (released 10/09/21) Silvereye was written and recorded during the UK lockdown of 2020 in their spare room. Songs of love, loneliness, healing and loathing politicians.
