Producing euphoric, rave contorting drum & bass seems to be Tom Mundell's special skill. As Metrik he'd already released on labels like Viper, Spearhead and Shogun Audio before he signed exclusively with Hospital Records but since then he's further underlined those early shades of promise with his self titled debut EP on the label and worldwide tours. Ahead of a 2014 that's reportedly stacked with big projects he's taken the time to thread a dancefloor focused narrative throughout this 32 minute mix, made ahead of his upcoming appearance in Room Two on Friday 18th April.

Welcome to the final show of 2023. I really enjoyed this particular broadcast, playing around with a few vocal layovers and mini-mashups. And then for the second hour I had the great pleasure of playing a guest mix from one of my all-time favourite remix artists, PATCH SAFARI. 

They are a dynamic duo from Canada who take well-known tracks and transform them into fresh, new and exciting remixes with influences of disco and house. I love their creativity, and the fact that they use bass guitars, keyboards, bongos and other live instruments from their impressive studio in Montreal. Real musicians, real talent :-)
