This is a set that i did live in Oshkosh WI February 18th 2023. Something a little different from what I usually play. This was a benefit concert for a friend i lost to cancer Jaime Renee. I think that she would have liked this.

Groove and rhythm-focused techno has captivated Ty Bonlando since he was a young raver in Calgary around the turn of the millennium. His fascination with the art and technicalities of DJing has led him to develop a unique and forward-thinking approach to mixing music. Using custom-programmed controllers and software to DJ has allowed his workflow to constantly evolve, maximizing creativity. An average 75-minute set features over 40 tracks accompanied by loops, samples, and effects, ensuring not only the uniqueness of every set he plays but also the distinctiveness of his performance style.

Technical aspects aside, flow and music selection are his top priorities. Dub, raw, hypnotic, hardgroove, hard, dark, deep, and broken-beat, are among the many different flavours of techno that he layers, splices and loops together to create unique grooves that will keep the floor moving for hours.

Ty is the co-founder of I Love Techno YYC, a 20-year love affair showcasing talented local DJs and well-known heavy hitters. With professional and unique lighting and stage design, these shows fill a demand for techno and techno-influenced music in an underground atmosphere.

Dj/ producer originally from central Wisconsin and back once again. Electronic music has always been an inspiration in my life ever since going to my first underground shows around '2000.  I instantly fell in love with the scene. Got my first turntables in '2002 and never looked back. Shortly after I discovered my passion for techno music. Moved to Minneapolis in '2016 where I was influenced by the amazing & intense music scene to start focusing more on the production side and there is no end in sight.
