She Was In The Depth Of Misery And Take New Way (HTSR-24)

A side from the upcoming 7" by Stars on Fire, the project of American Cristoph Mark, who is now based in Seoul, South Korea! Mark who had previously released records in California with the wonderful band Ampersand has been crafting wonderful pop songs under the name Stars on Fire for a few years now, releasing some classic records for labels like Jigsaw, Old Bad Habits and Emma's House Records. This new 7" takes the band's sound closer to the  classic indiepop sound that we all love but with the band's own trademark style. The 7" includes two songs, the catchy, upbeat, "Ready, Steady, Go!" on the A side and the Sarah-esque "Angel in White" on the B side. We are very happy and proud to release this new record on 2021, our second this year, trying to beat the pandemic when it comes to releasing wonderful music! Nothing can stop indiepop!

The single and the new upcoming album are produced and mixed by Robin Guthrie, founder and songwriter of the mythical band Cocteau Twins, who also produced and mixed his previous album Pleamar and has been mastered by Slowdive's Simon Scott.

A Place to Bury Strangers dive headfirst into suffering on the dark and explosive “I’m Hurt,” the third single from the upcoming See Through You LP. Stark electronic kick drums and mangled guitars serge over a tense bassline that pulses throughout this anguished industrial dirge. Ackermann lays his bones out bare and invites us all to come to inspect the wounds. “I’m Hurt” is an anthem to the malnourished and disenfranchised children of rock n roll whose hurt is in need of healing.

But a sad dog keeps appearing so the deity swallows the sky not understanding that the person wanted to confront the whole spectrum of their emotions, including the sad dog chasing them around.
