Shenandoah and the Night offers a haunting, noir-ish sound counter-balanced by bursts of joy and infectious energy.  Rootsy enough for folk enthusiasts without sacrificing its modernist edge, Shenandoah and the Night cast a wide net across the spectrums of taste and time, blending and blurring a diverse set of influences that range from the operatic anguish of Nina Simone and Kurt Weill, to the dusky psychedelic sturm und drang of the Doors and Janis Joplin. 

Born in Genova,  lives in Zürich. He create frequencies, noises and sound disorders with modular synthesizers. His work is based on sonic accidents, random modulations and unforeseen ground loops.

Ansible shows a space, sound and light display that is arranged to represent recognizable aspects and references at sites such as: laboratories, seed banks and environments for the controlled cultivation of artificial life in living organisms; stores of geological samples and herbarium collections found in contexts such as the Madrid Centre for Astrobiology, associated to NASA; in vitro cultivation of endangered species in the Sao Paulo Botanical Garden; the Institute of Volcanology within the University of Barcelona; the Santiago de Chile Museum of Natural Sciences; and the Seed Bank in Vicuña (northern Chile).

In the recreation of this environment we will not find the usual stabilizing elements but rather others which introduce formal and symbolic variables that contradict the utilitarian logic of scientific simulation or artificial maintenance of life forms to accommodate speculative thinking. Instead of germinating seeds in petri dishes (a simulation of lives that can no longer be found in their endemic ecosystems), we will find fossils of various different plant species which have disappeared or are in danger of extinction, found in historical archives and subsequently carved out on the specular surfaces of obsidian rocks.

This material (crystallized lava) has historically been attributed with being able to connect different worlds; a magic screen or interface between different realities. Here, taken as a dialectical object, it materializes as a fossil, but also as a mirror. This material has the vitreous nature of the vials of seed stock, however it has been processed as a lapidary object; it is a memento mori where materials which act in two different directions are constantly intertwined. On the one hand, they make up the "raw material" of existence, on the other, they point to the problems of a planet in crisis, where we see ourselves as fossils of a future universe, not devoid of life, or thinking - but maybe of ourselves.
In addition two actions will take place in the room with the producer and experimental musician, Lucrecia Dalt, and the programmer and performer, Jan Mech. The constant light temperature, which is usually essential for maintaining artificial life, will be changed using Arduino programming, following the modulation of four sound and text compositions (played by automaton voice overs), which go through dreamscapes of resilient lives; from extremophile sciences, necropolitics, extractivism and artificial life... etc.

BAUCHKLANG is a five-piece "vocal groove collective" from Austria. With a unique mixture of human beatboxing, mouthpercussions and vocal sounds, they are covering a musical landscape stretching from Electro over Minimal, to Dub and Hip Hop, using only their voices on the way.

Formed in 1995, Bauchklang released their debut album "Jamzero" in 2001. Not only the support from the Austrians (Bauchklang won 2 Amadeus Awards for "Best Album" and the "FM4 Award" in 2002) this album also brought them to the renowned international Festival "Transmusicales de Rennes" in France. Based on this success, the Vocal Groove Project started touring through Europe and Canada. After 4 Years of permanent touring, Bauchklang released their second album "many people" in 2005. Already regulars at the European festival circus, Bauchklang first ventured into Asia in 2009, with the release of their first live album/DVD "Live In  Mumbai", and a five city club tour through India, which also earned them the Indiecision Award for "Best International Live Act". In 2010, they were Austrias' musical ambassadors at the Shanghai Expo and won another 2 Austrian Amadeus Awards for "Best Live Act" and "Best Alternative" back home in their country. Also in 2010, Bauchklang brought along their third studio album "Signs". Guest Artists contributed to the density and international flair of this album: spoken word icon Ursula Rucker from Chicago, poetry "slameur" Rouda and human beatboxer TEZ from Paris.
In 2011 Bauchklang started recording new "club-oriented" tracks and released a limited edition of the Vinyl/EP "Le Mans". 
After the Vinyl/EP "Ray" in 2012, Bauchklang has released a brandnew album "AKUSMATIK" in January 2013, produced by Patrick Pulsinger.
