Shel found this moving song written by Sarah Hart & Chapin Hartford when we were struggling to find an appropriate song for a Memorial Day Service.  Released as a single by Amy Grant in 2010, it was nominated for a Grammy, and got to #8 on the Christian airplay charts.  It touched our hearts, and we like to share it often.  
We were not paid for this performance, which was Jan 12, 2020 at a local low-income senior living facility.

"Man of Constant Sorrow" (also known as "I Am a Man of Constant Sorrow") is a traditional American folk song first published by Dick Burnett, a partially blind fiddler from Kentucky. The song was originally titled "Farewell Song" in a songbook by Burnett dated to around 1913.

Getting Loopy_The Bounce House

Čau, hudobný denník. Myslím, že toto je moja prvá skladba v štýle jungle. Keď som bol malý, vyrastal som v Barci a počúval aj jungle. O 20 rokov neskôr si vravím, že skúsim takú hudbu zrekonštruovať, napodobniť. Čiže vlastne je to gýč 😀

Určite ma inšpirovalo aj zopár súčasných producentov, napríklad Pizza Hotline alebo PsiX, u ktorých som začul podobný “reverse engineering” a dodržiavanie starej estetiky.

Nejaké zaujímavosti:

V tracku sa objavujú autentické zvuky z košických exteriérov.

Škreky pôsobiace ako “zvieracie” sú v skutočnosti hlasy detí, s ktorými som kedysi pracoval v rámci Charity. Vtedy som mal požičaný exteriérový nahrávač Edirol a nahrával kadejaké náhodné zvuky. Ako dobre, že som si ich uložil. Baví ma používanie originálnych zvukov, aké inde ešte neboli a ich pretváranie. Pointa je, že si idem kúpiť nejaký vlastný a moderný exteriérový nahrávač.
Okrem toho sú miestami v pozadí zvuky barčianskej vlakovej stanice. A ešte kúsok dedka z parku.

Inak to nie je úplne poctivá skladba, hoci synťáky a melódie sú moje, tak som si pomohol s presetmi a bicie sú samozrejme z loopu, ktorý ste počuli už asi dvestokrát, no ten proste patrí k štýlu.
