British-German composer Charlotte Bray is an esteemed and in-demand composer, exhibiting uninhibited ambition and desire to communicate. Her music is exhilarating, inherently vivid, and richly expressive with lyrical intensity. An Ivor Novello Award winner (2019), she uses her voice to spotlight global issues, including the refugee crisis, unification, terrorism, and humanity’s impact on nature. She is currently the Composer-in-Residence with L​’Orchestre de Chambre de Genève, which is a 3‑year position for the 2023/24 – 2025/26 seasons. 

Bray’s music has been performed and commissioned by institutions such as BBC Symphony and BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestras, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Aurora Orchestra, and Birmingham Contemporary Music Group. Her work has featured at festivals in Aldeburgh, Cheltenham, Tanglewood, Aix-en-Provence, Verbier and Kuhmo, as well as with renowned conductors including Marin Alsop, Sir Mark Elder, Sakari Oramo, Oliver Knussen, Jessica Cottis, Daniel Harding, Duncan Ward, and Karina Canellakis.

Pablo Sciuto es un cantautor uruguayo, con más de diez discos editados donde combina ritmos como el indie pop, jazz, bossa nova, candombe, con sonidos electrónicos. Ha creado un particular estilo y se ha posicionado en la ola de nuevos creadores del Río de la Plata. Actualmente se encuentra radicado en la ciudad de Madrid, España desde el año 2000.

Sus inicios fueron en su ciudad natal Montevideo desde el año 1995, participando en varias bandas como Escape (hard rock), Luz del Alba (pop, fusión) junto a su amigo Javier Gras, con la cual interpretaban versiones de Eduardo Mateo en salas pequeñas. En el año 1997 comienza su carrera solista, con pequeñas intervenciones en el Hot Club de Montevideo, compartiendo escenario con artistas como Erika Herrera, Leo Anselmi, Fernando Henry, entre otros. En 1998 da el salto a Buenos Aires, participando en conciertos en varias salas del circuito porteño.

Ha actuado y colaborado con artistas como el brasileño Leo Minax, Jorge Drexler, Pablo Guerrero, Ana Prada, Gustavo Pena "Príncipe", Jorge Barral, Rita Tavares, Tancredo, Habana Abierta, Daniel Drexler, Gabriela Torres, Carlos Chaouen, Pippo Spera, Tontxu, Mercedes Ferrer, Jorge Galemire, Samantha Navarro, Cristina Narea, Javier Paxariño, Jorge Barral, La Tercera República, Adrián Sepiurca, Daniel Drexler, Alex Ferreira, Pedro Moreno, Evaldo Robson, entre otros.

En su estudio de Madrid experimenta con diversos instrumentos, en una rica combinación entre electrónica y acústica. Sus letras están influenciadas por la metafísica, la ciencia ficción y la astronomía de la que es un gran aficionado. Ha incursionado en varios géneros musicales, desde el jazz, bossa nova, candombe, folk, funk, pop, electrónica, etc.

Es muy frecuente verlo en salas del circuito madrileño como Libertad 8, Clamores, Galileo, y en otras ciudades de España, donde se presenta con su banda habitual y en formato solista donde ejecuta samples y loops en tiempo real como multi-instrumentista, también es conocido en su faceta de VJ como residente o en actuaciones como las de la soprano Pilar Jurado, Leo Minax, etc.

Su música es muy apreciada en países como Argentina, Uruguay, México y China, en este último sus canciones han sido difundidas de forma masiva. Ha actuado tanto en festivales como en clubes de varios países, entre ellos, Uruguay, Argentina, Brasil, Chile, España, Italia, Francia.

En el año 2009 crea su nueva formación, "Astrónomos Urbanos", por ella ya han pasado reputados músicos de varios países como Fabián Miodownik (Batería, Uruguay), Carlos Maeso (Bajo, España), Sebastián Crudeli (Piano, Argentina), Matías Nuñez (Bajo, Argentina), Álvaro Genta Cubas (Guitarra, Uruguay), Olmo Sosa (Guitarra, Argentina), Adrián Carrio (Piano, España), Ernesto Espinoza (Violín, Chile), Martín Muollo (Bajo, Argentina), Ignacio Rodríguez (Batería, Argentina), Edgar Vero (Piano, Cuba), Martin Livingstone (Violín, Irlanda).

Su álbum "La Piel y la Huella" editado en el año 2014 esta dedicado a la memoria de Gustavo Pena "El Príncipe" y Luis Alberto Spinetta.

Musical sophistication, refined lyrics and an unforgettable voice: Clara Blume lives expression – in her Songwriting as well as her stunning live performances. Her fiery temperament she owes to her mother's Spanish roots, her mysterious aura to the Dutch-Indonesian origins of her father.

For the past ten years Clara has been writing her own songs and performing on stage with a variety of renowned musicians. The result was a stunning collaboration with her brother and producer Georg Blume that has culminated in her critically acclaimed and award nominated Debut Album “Here Comes Everything” (earcandy recordings 2015). 

While promoting her music, Clara appeared several times on national television and was invited to tour through Europe and the U.S. The artist recently obtained her Ph.D. in Romance Studies at the University of Vienna and just announced she was moving to Berkeley, CA. Her second record produced by Austrian Star Producer Alexander Nefzger will be released in the course of 2018.

From 29th to 31st May Berlin Festival brings together all the city’s best features of unique music, culture and art. Genre barriers are torn down and redefined as techno flirts with hip hop, Arthouse with cabaret, high fashion with street wear, street food with haute cuisine and classical music with club culture.
