Lantern Lights are a Los Angeles-based band that creates compact, melodic, slightly warped pop songs with folk and experimental influences. There are a lot of guitar/keyboard textures, layered percussion, and boy-girl harmonies. We get bored easily so there's always some variety. Right now we're a three-piece: Gareth Schumacher on vocals/guitar, Kari Wasoba on vocals/keys/flute/percussion, and Ricardo Rosario on drums. We released our self-titled full length album in 2012.

Leo Chadburn is a London-based composer whose unpredictable work includes music for ensembles, music for film and installation art, and solo performances that merge his voice with electronic music. It has been broadcast on BBC Radio 1, 3 and 6 Music. His discography includes seven solos albums, the most recent of which are the spoken word and drone piece The Subject / The Object (2020) and the acclaimed Slower / Talker (2021). 

He was previously also known by the pseudonym Simon Bookish, under which guise he released a sequence of albums of subversive “avant-pop”, alongside remixes for artists including Grizzly Bear, Owen Pallett and Serafina Steer.
 
Much of Leo’s work from the last decade is preoccupied with the musicality of speaking voices. These include Five Loops for the Bathyscaphe (2017) written for the Britten Sinfonia and English Dancing Master (2023) for Phaedra Ensemble. He won an Ivor Novello Award for his piece Freezywater, written for Apartment House, and was nominated for a second award for Affix Stamp Here, written for EXAUDI.
 
His collaborative work with visual artists includes projects with Cerith Wyn Evans (Irish Museum of Modern Art), Marianna Simnett (Serpentine Gallery), Richard Grayson (Matt's Gallery), Jennet Thomas (Grundy Gallery) and Jasleen Kaur (V&A).

Gareth William Schumacher is an American singer-songwriter and producer whose music resides on the spectrum of lo-fi indie folk and psychedelia. His songs draw on a wide range of sonic influences, including prog, art rock, 1970s synthesizer music, and noise pop.

A chance meeting on a night that can only be referred to as “a drunken underwear Twister-themed party,” Rammy Yogendra (Guitar, Synth, Piano), met Pamela Bell (Vocals), and Alex McCown (Drums) and the three hit it off immediately. Coming together from Minnesota, Missouri and Florida respectively, the trio found a common ground in New York City, which they have been calling home for several years. Playing at countless area venues and late-night rooftop gatherings, LETTERIST gained notoriety from their performances at the now-infamous BangOn!NYC Parties. 

LETTERIST is the perfect blend of electro-synthpop and dance rock. Influenced by classic artists such as Royksopp, Daft Punk, New Order, Fleetwood Mac, and Kylie Minogue, while evoking the sounds of modern luminaries like Metric and Lykke Li, the group will make you un-expect the expected. “I want to be able to reinvent based on my musical growth, and my gut and my ability,” says Pam. For LETTERIST this means an endless quest to write the perfect soundtrack to the best 80’s John Hughes film never made. From a young age the members of the band predicted music in their future. Spoiler Alert: they predicted right.

This spring sees the release of LETTERIST’s sophomore album, Solace and Gold, which was recorded with Tim Monkiewicz (Golden Pony), mixed by Abe Seiferth (DFA Records) and mastered by Jamal Ruhe at West West Side Music. Each song is a collaboration of the group – Rammy makes noises that sound good in succession, Pam adds layers of lyrics (revenge fantasies) and harmonies, and Alex hits things, hard. Each piece takes you on a musical journey: art and history, ex-boyfriends, mental Polaroids of real life situations… Anything and everything is fair game when it comes to LETTERIST.
