What is your favorite book?
There are so many and it's always hard for me to chose a favorite
of anything. A book I very much enjoyed reading recently is „Where
the crawdads sing" by Delia Owens.

If you were a super-hero, what powers would you have?
I would be able to beam, to stop time and to change the matter of
things. But actually I am not sure if I would really want to mess
with mother nature.

What's the longest you've gone without sleep (and why)?
I really like my sleep, so I don't miss it often. The longest time
I was awake was about 40 hours, I think. One time I travelled
through Germany and got stuck in Koblenz due to a train delay.
Waiting for the next train in the morning I met a guy who was in the
same situation and recorded sounds of the night and some of his
raplines.

No one can describe his vision and approach better than he himself. Remixing is something special to him. He always tries to put himself into the other artists shoes first and then delivers his own version of the original theme or concept. His remix tries to stay true to the original while adding a dance-friendly fundament built almost entirely from original parts.
„When remixing an acoustic piece or a band song I always try to honor the original structure and not reduce it to a simple phrase, so it was natural to use as much of the original parts as possible
Something that struck me as odd was the differentiation between male and female vocals, so I decided to strike a balance and make all vocals androgynous (by formant shifting), and add a call-and-response pattern between the sparse cellos and the chorus vocal.
After focussing on the original guitar parts and using them (in conjunction with a re-model of the original percussion) to build up to the main motif, I was left with a version that was kind of an "edit" of the original - but something was missing.
Trying to keep the motif of conjuring forces of nature, I tried to put in a little twist - while the rest of the song is rather airy and calm, I wanted to introduce a contrasting element in the break section. The satisfying lullaby of the four winds disappears and gives way to a synth blizzard that, like a thunderstorm, fades away and returns to the sunshine-filled main motif.“
