Einen kleinen Oscar hat Elijah Wood zwar noch nicht zu Hause zu stehen, dafür aber sicherlich alle Veröffentlichungen seines eigenen Labels, Simian Records, auf dem etwa das The-Apples-in-Stereo-Album »New Magnetic Wonders« erschien. Und diverse alte Schallplatten westafrikanischer, türkischer und brasilianischer Psychedelik-, Funk- und Soul-Musik sowie Krautrock. Das wiederum eint den Hollywood-Schauspieler mit dem Gründer des unersetzbaren Berliner Kunst- und Musikraums West Germany, DJ Fitz, und mit dem (Film-)Musikberater Zach Cowie. Die drei Plattensammler bilden auch ein formidables DJ-Trio, das seine weltumspannende Disco nun nach Berlin bringt.
