Dan Formless launches Saboteurs Sanctuary as an auditory expression of his Forward Movement studio in London, UK.

This EP features a remix from Alex Celler and comes hot on the heels of Dan’s solo debut record “Fried All Day” on Bank of Switches with support from Sonja Moonear, Satoshi Tommie, Alexkid, Bushwhacka!, Eddie Richards, Terry Francis, Shaun Reeves, Mike Shannon, Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex and Archie Hamilton. 

An avid collector of music gear with a penchant for vintage units, Dan has scoured the globe collecting rare studio machinery in a quest to create unique sounds. His travels have added further layers to an already rich canvas, painted by DJ exploits across major cities in Europe and Asia, alongside residencies in London nightclubs.

Focusing on solo music production, Dan has dedicated the last few years to his creative process liberation whilst experimenting with drum machines, synthesizers and effects. He is now sharing the results of these sonic explorations, delving into the deeper sides of house, techno and electro whilst staying true to his dubby minimal roots.

The inaugural ‘Actions Speak Louder’ EP hits the ground running with two original tracks from Dan Formless and a stellar remix from Alex Celler. ‘Nitty Gritty’ is a peak time brain melter with sizzling synth lines and intricate drum patterns occupying the A-side. ‘4Q’ weaves together syncopated rhythms and deep rolling bass lines on the flip side. These are punctuated by playful call-and- response synth motifs to create an enigmatic after-hours slow burner. Alex Celler offers a glitchy ‘4Q’ remix with his undeniable flair for fusing infectious grooves with futuristic aural landscapes in a late night exploration of modular electronics.

"After all these Various Artist EP’s i wanted to focus on one artist at a time that would  allow them to really show a spectrum as broad as possible.  

How people consume music changed in last 30 years. When i got into music in the first place it was all about the album. The full package with cover, artwork, side notes. I want to bring back that feeling in terms of programming, artwork and listening pleasure. Following the tradition of my favourite rap LP’s the tracks are all connected with skits and interludes for a full listening experience. It’s dance floor material, but the LP feel of it makes it great for home listening as well.

I am really happy to kickstart this with Fabe. I got introduced to him by a friend a few years ago and it´s crazy how this guys turns up from track to track. I think this is his strongest release so far as he really shows what he is capable of in terms of style. Super happy to have him onboard as he is one of loveliest guys around as well. Salut Fabe !!! As Danse Club heads towards 5 years in operation at the end of 2017 owners Austen/Scott invite Per Hammar back to the label for his 2nd release to confirm his place as one of the label's firmfavourites with 3 original tracks and a 'rhythm' version of 'Y'. As always with Danse Club the tracks are selected for club DJs and with the 'Danse' Floor in mind. It's all house and techno.

Elision is back with a three-tracker EP from the prolific and always inspired London producer Rich NxT, as well as two powerful remixes: Howl Ensemble and Cab Drivers.

The German duo, always appreciated for their productions, bring back the bumpy rhythm of NxT original mix to a more minimal soundscape, without compromising on the groove. Their refined touch is clearly visible, with the track finding its place on the flip side.
