DJ and producer Phil Mison aka Cantoma should be no stranger to the world of the Chillout balearicbeat scene. As a true pioneer in his own right he championed this sound from day one.
But it all started back in 1993 he was asked to DJ at the legendary Café Del Mar. This gig came up after he bumped into José Padilla in Tag Records and they got talking about music and records.
 He's first stint at this famous Ibiza bar was a massive success and the following year José booked him for the full season as resident.
This unique residency lead to the start of compiling records for various labels and Phil was the very first to compile and mix a UK chill out compilation "Original Chill Out".
 A string of other compilations followed incl. a couple in the Café Del Mar and The Real Ibiza series.
 So I think it's safe to say that Phil Mison is one of the originators on the Balearic chill-out scene and one who have been there from the very start.

Fertil Discos, nóvel sello argentino con sede en Buenos Aires, presenta su más reciente compilación, dividida en dos volúmenes, con sonidos distinguidos en dos etapas del día: “Dia” y “Noche”.  En ellos se pueden apreciar los nuevos pasos de la corriente actual de artistas electrónicos influenciados por los sonidos y ritmos de Latinoamérica. 

El compilado propone un soundtrack ideal para atardeceres o amaneceres en islas desiertas, tomando inspiración de ritmos ancestrales, bajos electrónicos y producciones recientes con una mentalidad de  “música sin fronteras”.

Fertil discos is a newly born argentinean label, based in Buenos Aires. We are pleased to announce our most recent compilation, divided in two separate albums -one representing the Day, the other gathering Night sounds. Both records illustrate the new steps of the new wave of South America’s electronic artists, influenced by the sounds and rythms of our continent.

The compilation proposes you an ideal soundtrack for sunrises/sunsets on desert islands, drawing inspiration from ancient rhythms, electronic bass lines, and recent productions with a world music mindset.

Both volumes put together danceable songs like “Animal Estrella” (Pol Nada & El Remolón) and “Periferia” (Paisandoom); folktronic compositions like “Tejido” (Jin Yerei feat. Kona); slow techno songs like “Orobon” (Barda) and talented electronic compositions like “Dialogue” (Tomanka) and “Galata” (Santi) among other undiscovered gems.

Electrónica Orgánica Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 will be available on August 11th on our Bandcamp site and in all digital stores.

Over the course of the past four years, ATTLAS has become one of mau5trap’s most celebrated artists. Canadian musician Jeff Hartford’s enthusiasm for music began at a young age, he grew up playing in bands and learning instruments like piano, trumpet, and guitar. His immersion in songwriting continued to grow when he attended university, and he interned for a composer after completing his courses. It was during this time that he started applying the techniques he’d learned in the studio to electronic music and began sending his completed works to deadmau5’s mau5trap label. The label initially signed a few tracks and then ATTLAS as an artist, and Hartford released three EPs in 2015 via the Canadian imprint.
