Berlin is the city we call home. A place where musical inspiration wonders through the air and eventually reaches out to those who listen. We take good pride on our a&r department as we have discovered and pushed a good number of talented musicians from all over the world, this time we didn't have to go too far since its in Germany's capital where we can find SoKool. Mathias and Thomas teamed up in 2011 and since then they've been on the rise with releases in Heinz Music, Poesie Musik and Katermukke and they now deliver an impressive pair of incredible songs that will sure do great damage in dancefloors across the world. Teaming up with the potent voice of Mr Schug they create "Recognize", a feel-good journey with a high emotional content, one of those tracks that gives instant goosebumps. Full of soul and with huge synthwork it inmediately caught our ear, and we decided to bring on the guys from Ektschn (Beatamines + Mirco Niemeier) who add their groovy swing keeping the harmonic and vocal values intact in their bouncier percussive interpretation. Things get techier on the b-side with "Free Your Mind", with a darker deep atmosphere with bubbly synth-bass and great use of effects to create a mind-bending moment in those sweaty nights. We are happy once again to be bringing high standard quality music to the table, made in Berlin and for the whole planet to enjoy.

Wasted Ruffians are back with a lighthearted remix of "Cut" by Children for the bands new remix album ‘Dancing at home’. The original track was released with Children’s debut album 'Leaving Home' on Fleet Union last September. On their first full-length release the Berlin trio mixed up smooth electronic beats with clear guitar- & basslines and created a chilled and smart pop music. After being support act for Kiesza, Stars or Kafka Tamura and playing shows at Berlin Festival, Way Back When or C/O pop, Children are releasing their remix album this summer. Beside the mentioned remix of ‘Cut’, you will find other remixes by The Micronaut, Daniel Archut, ABBY, Gunnar Zander, tchotchke, Fluxus Head, NÖRD, La Petite Rouge and two remixes by Children themselves.
Wasted Ruffians often crossed the Children members path in Berlin club and party scene. For the remix album they picked up with ‘Cut’ an ode to the easy-going summer days. Accelerating the tempo, revisiting the track with a solid bassline and a restructured composition, it results in a fetching smooth Deep House track!

LOR brings together elements of techno, electronica and house to create his individual sound.

The Belfast producer announced his arrival late last year with remixes of classics by Arthur Russell and Kraftwerk, which were supported by the likes of Âme, Gerd Janson, Bicep, John Talabot and more.

As a DJ, LOR is rapidly on the rise, moving from Belfast Underground Radio, to various festivals this summer including AVA in Belfast, Celtronic in Derry and Tramlines in Sheffield.

On the production front, LOR’s first official remix, of Sau Poler’s ‘Esperits’ is due on leading Dutch label, Atomnation in September, of which we exclusively premiere.
