With the release of our third annual Various Artists Compilation, we’re celebrating three years of LAPS Recordings—and honestly, we can hardly believe it ourselves. What started as a small hobby project has grown into a solid underground label with a clear vision, a loyal community, and a catalogue were genuinely proud of. To mark this anniversary, VA003 brings together a diverse collection of tracks that reflect the full spectrum of our sound—from deep, hypnotic techno to high-energy peak-time bangers, groovy minimal cuts, and melodic journeys. It’s a snapshot of everything LAPS stands for: quality, diversity, and an uncompromising dedication to underground music. This year's edition features a blend of familiar faces and exciting newcomers. Some of the artists on this compilation have already become a part of the LAPS family through past releases, while others are making their debut—some of whom you'll definitely hear more from in the coming months. This VA acts as both a celebration and a preview of what’s to come. In a time when the techno scene is shifting rapidly—and not always to everyone’s liking—we want to take this moment to reaffirm who we are. We’re committed to pushing forward with an open mind, staying true to our roots, and supporting innovative, quality-driven electronic music in all its forms. Most importantly, we want to say thank you—to the artists who trust us with their music, to the dancers and DJs who keep the tracks alive on dancefloors, and to everyone who's been part of this journey so far. LAPS Round Three

With the release of our third annual Various Artists Compilation, we’re celebrating three years of LAPS Recordings! The fifth single of the VA brings some serious groove pressure: Sandro Mure returns after his successful debut last year with "Top Tier", which landed in Beatports Hard Techno charts. Now he’s back with "Lap 2", a dark and driving Hard Techno weapon infused with heavy Hardgroove energy. We’re also excited to welcome two new names to the label: HXTC from Stuttgart and SOTP from Saarbrücken. HXTC, known as the former curator for Animarum Black, joins forces with SOTP on "Just Dubbin' Around", a refreshing blend of Raw and Hardgroove Techno with Dubby textures and a more playful vibe. Big welcome to the family!

Time to enter more experimental territories: known LAPS-Members since day one, Kid Kun and Van Kost are back with two groovy breakbeat tunes! Kid Kun’s "1 4 The System" is dark, driving and a pleasure for every sounddesign enthusiast. Van Kost follows with "Liquid Black" which is more chill and dub-influenced. Last but not least we welcome "Timo Haege" from Hamburg, a good friend of our crew with his raw, minimalistic and experimental tune "WFSP"

Hach follows in his familiar driving, melancholic and Trance-influenced style with "Always In My Heart" - two tunes that are definetly worth listening to!

Organic textures, instrumental elements, and striking melodic moments run through the heart of this release. With a deep sense of musicality and groove, Skydivers blends drive and emotions in equal measure, bridging raw club energy with a more introspective rhythmic feeling. It’s a deeper release!

During the process, I found myself drawn to more organic elements! Instruments, textured layers, and subtle melodies that could live within the structure of techno but also stretch beyond it. I wanted every track to feel alive, to breathe, to carry a human touch beneath the rhythm.

Skydivers became a personal journey. Not just a release, but a snapshot of a period where I explored new sounds without overthinking, allowing instinct to guide me.

I didn’t want to follow a strict formula, I wanted to stay honest to what felt right, even if it wasn’t “safe.”

Each track is a part of that story.

Techno is colourful.

We are LAPS Recordings, a young, growing Techno Label from Germany! The name "LAPS" is an acronym containing the initials of our 4 founding members. At the same time it highlights the concept of time, which is a topic all our productions will revolve around! 

Coming from very different musical backgrounds, the core substance of our label sound revolves around dark, energetic and emotional melodies, forceful kickdrums and driving basslines. Those main topics reappear in all of our productions, but so do the individual tastes of all founding members.
