Composer and Bassist Dave Manington and Singer- Songwriter Lara Eidi are delighted to release a brand-new collaboration. Different from their usual jazz inflections, the track was brought about by revisiting a piece of music written years ago by Dave , complemented by lyrics Lara had written a while back as well but never found the perfect song for.  Recorded remotely during lockdown in Athens and London, ‘Look to the Horizon’ is a wistful, psychedelic and nostalgic ballad about hope, renewal, and looking to the hopeful gaze of the horizon has in store. " I wrote the music for "Look to the Horizon" in one short session, it actually began as an exercise in playing the interval of a sixth on the guitar! I came back to it a couple of years later and decided it would work nicely as a song with lyrics so I sent it to Lara, who has written some beautiful lyrics which have really taken the piece into a new direction. Whilst producing the track it has naturally evolved in a much more rock/psychedelic/electric direction sound-wise which has been exciting and a bit different from what we expected. " Dave Manington.
