laughs with the storm, all in a day

Brused and batters, sung and said
Aye such peace in me cluttered head
There she goes, breakin’ old lore

No camera, verse could wrap this sight
Trailing rain, stitched in light
You’d think joy comes from sun or spring
It blooms from hand to hold, a heart to cling.

Every storm brings room to grow

Rain on the clothesline, shirts doin’ a waltz
She hums to the sky like it’s all her fault
“Maybe I dreamt this,” she grins with a skip,
“Maybe the clouds just needed a drip.”

Steam on the window, fog on the breath
Her fingers draw hearts like she’s spellin’ out depth
No grand truth, just the puddles we cross
