This is a preliminary mockup of the third movement of my upcoming flute concerto. It all started out with me looking for something for the flute to do that was slightly different, maybe even a little bit out of character for the instrument.  The next question was - how come fanfares are always played by brass and percussion?? What  if I tried to do one on the flute??  As usual, one thing led to another, and the what came out was what you hear now.  I've come to think of it as a mini-symphony, or something like a tone poem - a journey through different landscapes, telling a story as we go.

Composed, performed, co-produced by Brian Hutchison.  Co-produced and guitar solo by me (Kenny Husted).  This is a re-master from cassette by B.H., originally recorded/mixed in the late 80's on Tascam 80-8 + sequencers, mixed to Ampex 351 half-track tape.
