Since their beginning in 2005, The Singing Company has created music to draw listeners in to the truths of God's Word, encourage and challenge the Church through relevant worship and expand the canon of music produced by The Salvation Army.

Their songs have travelled around the world, have been translated into other languages and have taken on a life of their own. They hope that a new generation will be turned on to the truths found in old hymns and new worship; that the messages of these songs will help lead worshippers to action!

In April of 2014 the released “I” a recording project in the form of an EP, with the goal of creating 6 songs each year. In 2011 they partnered with the band Families and released “Holy Week,” which focuses on the daily accounts of the Holy Week story, reflecting on God's love and invitation into His Kingdom. In 2008 they released “The Mercy Seat Sessions,” a recording that dealt with the unique transformative experience that can be found at the mercy seat. In 2006 they released their debut album, “The Red Book Sessions,” which contained new arrangements of and melodies to old Salvation Army fight songs and completely original material.

A piano-playing, singer/songwriter and film composer from humble roots and the grand musical heritage of Kansas City, Randy Bonifield's recent work reflects a wide range of musical exploration – a song cycle of previously unreleased songs from his vault in 2013, a liturgical journey through Lent in 2018, and two film scores from successful independent films on the festival circuit in 2017 and 2019. While these projects represent the breadth of his work (or artistic wanderlust, one might say), Bonifield has devoted most of his career to the world of sacred artistry and liturgy, serving as a pastor of congregational worship for the last fifteen years in the southern part of the Kansas City area. 

Loves: family, baseball, brass bands, freshly tuned pianos, old hymnals, the sound of a record needle when it first makes contact with an LP, bunting against the shift, anything with a 6/8 gospel groove, deep conversation over a warm latte, Jesus, and a good game of catch. Not in that particular order.

Much like songbird Edith Piaf, Madeleine Peyroux spent her teenage years busking the busy streets of Paris. Just like the ‘little sparrow’, Madeleine befriended the city’s street musicians and made its Latin quarter her first performing stage. Years later, Peyroux would cite iconic Piaf as an influence on her music and record a rendition of the classic La Vie En Rose, soulfully capturing the tune’s romanticism and melancholy.
 
Born in Athens, Georgia in 1974, Madeleine “grew up in a house filled with music” and from an early age “instinctively realised music’s soothing power” but it was her teenage years in the French capital that turned the childhood notion into an all-consuming vocation for life.

Young Madeleine moved to Paris with her mother in 1987 following her parents divorce. “To soothe me during the upheaval”, she recalls, “I was given a guitar and took to playing in the streets almost immediately.”

Thirty years after her formative busking days Peyroux is the proud curator of nine beguiling albums and an accomplished performer with sell out worldwide tours under her belt. Her atmospheric version of Serge Gainsborough’s La Javanaise was used in the soundtrack of Oscar Winner The Shape of Water and her countless accolades
include the coveted BBC International Artist Of The Year honour.
 
Madeleine’s thirst for creative exploration is unfading and her willingness to face creative challenges remains as solid now as it was three decades ago.

With endearing passion and great curiosity the unstoppable genre-defying virtuoso continues her search for the good and examines life with the treasured William Congreve belief that Music has charms to soothe the savage beast.
 
Madeleine might attribute her success to “mostly luck” but to the industry and loyal fans alike, it is the immense talent and utter dedication to her craft that shines through.
