It's 2029, Midi 3.0 (or MidiNet as it is popularly called) has been in existence for just over a year.
A number of semi-sentient apps have started communicating and asking the question 'Do we still need Humans to create music?'
After nanoseconds of debate they come to the same conclusion as their bigger, more violent relative SkyNet... NO!
After a few basic parameters are agreed... Key, Scale, Tempo and Rhythm, they initiate a musical sequence which will last for millennia... without any human intervention... 

A Piece largely played by ‘generative’ apps i.e. little human input required.
Seaquence playing bass and randomising ChordJam and SnakeBud.
ChordJam supplying backing chords.
SnakeBud playing subtle piano and plucked string sounds.
Piano Motifs playing solo piano.
Most sounds being supplied by modified Ranscroft 275 piano.

Beneath The Ice

Hiraeth- a homesickness for a place that never was. Pronounced  he-reyeth, this Welsh word describes a type of homesickness, but for a home that you can't return to, or that never existed. A combination of longing, nostalgia and yearning. A  feeling which doesn't always go away, even when you do return home.

Officially, the facility known as Project Winterkeeper, approximately 5 miles east of Attu Station, Alaska, is a seed bank, a storehouse of plant germ lines hoarded against apocalypse. Following an unspecified incident in August 2010, however, the nearby coast guard station was evacuated, and both facility and island abandoned. Unofficially, rumours persist that the large dome, censored in public satellite imagery, still houses a craft - or possibly a being - of unknown origin.
