This mix is sort of an interpretation of the movie Stalker by Andrei Tarkovsky. To be honest I have never seen the movie. But since working with some scenes to sample I thought I put something together anyway. The journey travels thru now and then, then and now. Dripping caves from shore to city fringe. Thru tunnels and railway tracks to dusk landscapes on the farm side. This one is kinda moody. Hope you enjoy!

community builder, philanthropist, and acclaimed author.

01 LEHNBERG - Swami

Motormännen make information techno infused with an air of Swedish nostalgia through a filter of retro-futuristic skepticism.

The music is packed with minimal acid loops and samples with excerpts from Swedish politicians, documentaries and Christer Glenning, reflecting on times when the cold war and the traditional welfare state were dissolving. Inhibitions were relaxed and new, foreign influences crept into the body of society and the old information monopolies. Motormännen’s tracks are visually enhanced by messages from pictures and videos from the 1970’s and 80’s.

Artist born and raised in the idyllic country of Dalarna, Sweden. Live and works in Gothenburg. I like to work with concepts and storytelling. When putting together my mixtapes I wish to make place for those memories of time and space, light and pace. That is why I use lots of samples from movies and field recordings as i try to stitch it together with music often being used as a guide to these places in my subconscious.
