Normally, podcasts are easy to do and being motivated, one goes to work in exciting anticipation to let the latest delicacies and accumulated "podcast records" shine.
At 3hrs 33min though, the situation is different. We rummaged deep in the record crate, full of enthusiasm knowing exactly what was being played. Dissatisfied with the result and a musical existential crisis not far away, we reflected and rethought the essence of our music: who are we and what do we want anyway? With detective acumen, we conducted acquisitions for weeks and dove into old and new realms in search of the undefinable. Back to the roots...

From a simple 90’s tape deck all the way through to today’s vast and enchanting acoustic landscape, the young Swiss talent has devoted herself to finding and sculpting a signature sound that speaks to hearts and hips alike. 

With a raunchy touch of nonchalance she weaves heartfelt emotions with unapologetic ecstasy, oscillating between self-awareness and daring provocation. Driven by honesty and expression through music, ACID FLORA creates miraculous spaces in which the exploration of the self is not only allowed, but encouraged. With implicit authenticity, she invites people to let go of all conventions and immerse themselves in music. She does this by opening up herself to the people in the crowd and connecting with them in an intimate dialogue that inspires and fuels her musical selection.

Following her first booking back in 2015, ACID FLORA has been a staple at Berlin’s magnificent Kater Blau with appearances at prestigious events like the Bar 25 weekender and Kater-resident Mira’s Birthday in November ‘22. On top she's played two Stil vor Talent showcases, and secured a residency at Zurich’s world-renowned Hive Club, delivering her distinctive vibes to some of the most distinguished dancefloors in Europe. 2023 is shaping up to be another amazing year for ACID FLORA, with several confirmed international festival appearances, as well as her very first release, set to come out on Oliver Koletzki's A Tribe Called Kotori Label.

Clearly, this woman is on a ride that is bound to get a whole lot wilder in the not so distant future.

I am an introvert, knowing that my emotions are a varied spectrum of quiet and kind experiences. That is why I have been expressing my feelings through music since I was a child. Ever since I heard the sound of rain drumming on the window sill in my room. We had a microphone in the family that allowed me to make my first field recordings right out the window. Recording the sounds on a tape recorder, and then mixed it with a second tape recorder. I think everyone can touch the fine strings of their souls when listening to music. I listened to the sound of the bells, the wind and the leaves. When it was silent, my music was born in the depths of my soul. Now I want to share my experience with you.

First edition of this wonderful wonderful festival. I was given the honor of closing duties for the intimate Oracle stage on Saturday night. Having heard amazing sets by so many awesome artists throughout the weekend, the pressure was indeed FULL ON! However, I let loose with my track selections and got down and dirty with the wicked crowd :) 

A couple of questionable transitions towards the end but that was the heat of the moment and a little fatigue from 2 full days of partying ;)
