When Lars Behrenroth founded Deeper Shades Recordings in 2008 his vision was to give upcoming as well as known and experienced producers from all around the globe a platform to share their music with the world just like he had done already for years with his radio show "Deeper Shades Of House". Looking back to a catalog spanning over 40 releases, 170+ tracks and remixes by over 60 producers this vision appears as a functioning formula for Deeper Shades Recordings. 
Releases like Gyasi's "The Dance", Rocco's "Saharien Child", Liquideep's "Feel It", Gil Tamazyan's "Neotek", Fabio Genito's "Papawenda" and many other songs included in this selection have been played and charted worldwide by DJs like Larry Heard, Osunlade, Jimpster, Atjazz, Vinny Da Vinci, Cajmere, DJ Spinna, Karizma, Mousse T, Charles Webster, Joey Negro, DJ Spen, Ian Pooley, Louie Vega, Boddhi Satva and so many more.

The first Deeper Shades Recordings release in 2015 is straight for the dance floor. 
Soulful vocals by South Africa's VaalSow and DJ Sue remixed and complimented by powerful beats, a mesmerizing baseline, beautiful strings and chords from Spain's DeejayKul. 

Ultra Tone are no strangers to the Deeper Shades Recordings label. First you took notice of Ultra Tone in 2011 by way of the ingenious DJ Cuebur feat. Nathan X "Walk A Mile" remix. Since then South Africa's Soul Candi hired Ultra Tone's V.Underground to supply the music for their Candi Roots Vol.2 compilation as well as releasing Ultra Tone singles.

DeejayKul is also a familiar name to Deeper Shades fans hearing his releases and remixes on labels like Atjazz Record Company, Local Talk etc. frequently on Lars Behrenroth's Deeper Shades Of House radio show.

Almost exactly 6 years after the release of "Deeper Shades EP Volume 1", Lars Behrenroth decided it's time to release more of his music. The 50th Deeper Shades Recordings release including 4 tracks with a total runtime of 35 minutes is an EP (Extended Player) in its truest sense.

The first track "Kord" is a deep and spacey groover which unleashes its full groove half way through. 
"Keep On", the 90's reminiscent track 2 on this EP is straight for the floor and a name familiar to all from Volume 1, Chezere, completes it with her vocal talents. 
"Time" is a melancholic and heady trip full of warm and deep chords and the last track "Denots" is an almost 12 minute long mid tempo journey through synthesizer and Rhodes sounds alike.  

Much like Volume 1, this 2nd edition of the Deeper Shades EP series is a small representation of Lars' taste and selection.
