"Totum" is the musical project of Lars from Schwerin, Germany. In 2010, he first experienced the psychedelic trance scene during a summer of festivals and fell in love with the vibrant culture, to which he soon began making his own contributions.
 
After playing his first DJ sets and beginning work of his own in Ableton Live, Lars started his project "Totum" in 2012. In addition to playing several underground events around Europe, he attended SAE Institute in Berlin to further study music production and focused on becoming a professional musician. When assisting in the creation of a professional music studio, he was inspired to create a studio of his own and began work in audio post-production, mixing and recording and beginning an university program in sound design in 2018.
 
Lars has always been attracted by organic sounds, which he implements in his own productions. Mixing different styles with strong contrasts, he creates a unique blend of creative freedom and professional combination of various extremes.  Mesmerizing in your darkest hour, it guides you with humour through inner emotions and discords to create a compelling experience. 
 
After releasing an initial EP in 2018 and contributing several tracks to various compilations, Lars joined Berlin-based label Quintessence Records in 2020. You can expect some fresh releases from him in the near future while he constantly refines his sound and techniques. Stay tuned…
